A perfect place for a future homesteader more interested in the land than the house. You can't put a price on the stream. The house looks like one of the original manufactured homes. Everytime I've encountered termite damage it's always been very localized and fixable. It wouldn't scare me off at all. I would sacrifice some cabinet & countertop just to put the stove in a better position. OR do a drop in range on a countertop and use the stove space for a wall oven. Minor issue in my book. Thank you sir for fixing up a modest home in a modest way so the average family can afford it.

I would take the wall out between kitchen and garage and appliances would be relocated. Maybe even the whole kitchen go in there.

The house is nothing to brag about , but the land is good.
I lost my beautiful upscale suburban home in the 2008 crash and was forced to downsize to a house like this. At first I was embarrassed but thought long and hard about what shelter really means and how homes are unaffordable nowadays. In the 1960s this was a solid middle class home. It's time for America to rethink housing so that a portion of us arent living in the streets while the rest are slaves to mortgage debt.
@@carolhewett3756 you are 💯% right! Sure everyone would love to live in an upscale house ad its nice & big. But if that's what they choose to get then they are forever in debt to a mortgage or not forever but at least 30 years or more. I would rather live with freedom and be able to actually live life instead of be a prisoner to the whole debt thing.

GM it's a very nice House especially for someone that is starting out I think it's a very awesome house and I don't see anything wet into the kitchen and it's very big. I think the person that fix this house 🏠doesn't a awesome job.but let me just say a home is what anyone makes it to be. love it awesome job

The land is amazing. The house is livable but need some changing. Never seen a kitchen with a stove located like that and what was that squeeze next to fridge. But I really liked the basement area. Liked the property.

That squeeze would make a good pantry with one wall of shelves. Then place some of that cling that frosts the glass but lets in natural light.

@@J.Young808 it looks like the stove was put into a former pantry to maximize cupboard/countertop space. I'd put in a glass top range to double as a countertop and a wall oven where the stove is. I think the kitchen is easily solvable.
I just drove past the area and remembered seeing this video thumbnail as I passed properties like this one. I didn’t realize it was in Virginia. Must be where Glenn lives. Beautiful state.

That basement would be perfect as a party/entertainment/hangout space! I love this place! My husband and I are looking for some investment property to use as a vacation rental. Who wouldn't love spending a week in the blue ridge mountains! Again, I love everything about this place. Speaking as the wife of a retired carpenter/contractor, you sir have put a lot of sweat equity into this place. Great job!

How the heck did Virginia end up a blue state & with Gov. Northam?!?! Anti 2A with all that hunting & fishing? Ironic. Breaks my heart really. That land alone would have me building a new home & renting this to my brother. That or take out the back of that home. Make a huge kitchen/ living combo great room. Then you could rearrange the kitchen & bath.
Living in VA all my life I can tell you it went blue because of northern VA. We get the spill over from D.C. they vote here but they don't live or believe the same way the rural part does. We have suffered for many years because of it.

I love that little house.Not a fan of paneling but it can be painted😄I absolutely love the land and extra garage,cellar and shed.I love the basement too.It would be perfect for a game room and entertainment area for older kids and a kid or two that never grew up! I'm a grandma and I'm never going to grow up either😉I tell you somebody is gonna be very happy when they get to move on that property.I wouldn't have to go anywhere except for groceries that I couldn't grow myself.That place is pretty darn close to my idea of my dream home.A person could have all the pets you wanted as long as you can feed them.I hope you find the right buyer soon!God bless🌻

This is a beauty. I love that it is not zoned. Unfortunately, all I can afford is 100 grand.. I could put my travel trailer there..and put my van in the garage.. It has a stream!! Awesome..
Sounds like you did a lot of work, but the kitchen layout could have updated, the paneling is very dated. And the mismatched floors take away, and if you are going to have one main bath it could have used some wow factor. It woukd have been nice to have access to the basement from the house. The property is beautiful. Wish you had posted the price.

Sure is wonky set up but could be remodeled. Big help too have new plumbing and electric. They really put a lot effort into it.

That's a beautiful house .When I was 15 yrs old my pastor and his wife invited us me and my single parent mom to a church vacation with them to the blue ridge mountains. Mom and I stayed in their beautiful place but the mountains looked like heaven and so blue . In the morning I looked out over the balcony every morning and said when I'm older I'm gonna live here. Its beautiful sir . One day I till would love to live there it looked like heaven literally

The stove in the kitchen seems misplaced. Overall, a beautiful property.
Nice tour of the property in it’s entirety. A portion of that acreage would make for a nice small campground, tents and rv’s, therefore additional income to the landowner. 🚌

@@GlennConner What kind of winters do you get, much snow?
We don't get much snow anymore. I would say this winter we might have got 6-8 inches total. But every 5-10 years we'll get a snow storm with 12+ inches. Temps are rarely below freezing during the day maybe 14 days below 32°F but nights often get down in the 20s.
Wow just saw this video as I've never seen any of your other videos also. I absolutely loved the whole property , garage, shed, and even the house. The house would be great for me. When you went down into the garage cellar it gave me chills thinking about my grandma's cellar because it wasn't no where nice like that. It was dirty and had some rats the size of cats !! 😂

Not a big fan of the house it can be nice with some moving around some walls and the tiles on the ceiling in the bathroom has got to be the craziest thing I have seen in a house all the moisture from the shower will have that molding and falling out in no time but the property is nice and that back shop is too. I would take the wood stove out of the basement and use it in the shop out back.I would build some walking bridges over the streams too so you can hang out over the stream and watch the water flow and love the rock formations. it's a nice place for sure.
Landscape is beautiful but the house needs some adjustments on it especially the master bedroom, and the basement
With a property like that all you'd have to have is a place that's habitable with a decent kitchen. lol 😁 I've got my priorities straight... Property that's to die for then a good kitchen anything else is just a bonus. I grew up on property like this & my siblings & I would go for hours with a picnic in hand & we'd go exploring sometimes only going back home cause we'd be freezing from playing in the creek.This is a real jem & would make just about anyone the happiest person alive.

Thank you for the tour. As with most other viewers I am overly impressed with the house and you have went to a lot of work to make it quite sound. However the property is very impressive and holds tons of potential. I am puzzled however that this is "only" approximately 10 acres. With the look of things, the streams, land on each side of them, the pastures, and suchlike; it appears much larger.

They did a lot of work on the house though its still an old house if that's your fancy. I gotta say its got a 'homey' vibe to it. It's just not my kinda style. However, the property is just wow! Amazing! Beautiful!
If someone really wanted to they could build a new house somewhere on this property while living in this house. Cuz the property alone is worth buying this house. And when the new house is done you could have the old one for guests or rent it out. Or even demolish it though demolishing it might not be the best, after all that work they put into it.
