I believe I actually voted for this in the national finals - in my defense, I was seven years old at the time (I'm actually not sure if my parents let me vote).
They were all participants of a casting show called Music Star (hence the name), which basically was the Swiss version of X-Factor. It was the very first time that year that they made such a casting show in Switzerland, so the hype around it was quite big.
But the musical level of this show can't have been very high: These people all made the top 10, and Piero came 3rd. I actually remember being really excited about this show, I recorded it on VCR (I wasn't allowed to stay up that late), and then watched it the following day. Apparently, I didn't have any ears at age seven.

I agree. This song isn't the best and it scored low as a result. That's all you can say really. It's a shame as they look like they're trying to create an international friendly vibe and for that alone they deserve some credit.

But almost all of those, while of varying quality, were at least performed competently, and you could call them songs. This, on the other hand, is so random and sloppily put together. So little to work with, it implodes upon itself and Sergio struggles to keep himself enthused enough to keep on singing it. That's what I call terrible.
