  • The Weber Q Range offers incredible grilling at a fantastic price point.
We've created this video to showcase the full range currently available in the UK. We're often asked which size Q is best? Well, it depends on your needs. We hope you'll find this video helpful in making the decision.
There are three sizes of Weber Q, The Q1000 series or baby Q which includes the Q1200 and Q1400, the Q2000 series which currently includes the Q2200, and the latest version of the Q3000 Series - The Weber Q3200 or Family Q.
We typically recommend the Q1200 for couples and small families where you're looking for maximum grill power but have limitations on space. You'll often hear this grill referred to on social media as the steak machine because despite being small it is amazing for grilling - the stainless steel burners kick out a serious amount of heat and they're positioned close to the heavy duty porcelain enamelled cast iron cooking grates - perfect for searing hot temperatures.
The Q1200 is compact and lightweight which also makes it ideal for camping and caravanning as well as on the balcony at home. It comes factory fitted with a hose and regulator suitable for disposable gas canisters and is packed full of lovely features which you wouldn't typically find on a portable BBQ, like these folding side tables, a lid thermometer and an electronic ignition system which makes the Q1200 BBQ a doddle to light. The Q1000 series also includes an electric version - the Q1400. This is a great value option for use on a balcony where gas is not permitted. If you're interested in electric BBQs then you should also check out the new Weber Pulse range.
The next size up is the Q2200, this includes of all of the same great features that you find on the Q1200, it can be used on a table or purchased with a stand or cart. This size is often referred to as the hybrid, it's still portable but large enough for the Sunday roast too. You can cook for more people at once, ideal for a growing family or a party. Because of the increased size the Q2200 is factory fitted with a different regulator for use with Calor Patio Gas instead of the small disposable gas canisters.
The family Q or Q3200 the biggest in the range and with a clever dual burner system actually offers you the capacity that one would expect from a typical 3 or 4 burner gas BBQ but it uses a lot less gas. This BBQ is also factory fitted for use with Calor Patio Gas too which makes it very economical too. We recommend this Q if you've got a large family or just lots of friends to cater for. It's the best choice for entertaining and is even large enough to handle a 6-kilo roast turkey, perfect for Christmas. You also get some extra features too which include a handle light for late night grilling and a warming rack to extend the cooking capacity even further.
Having two burners makes this version of the Q very easy to set up for grilling and roasting, use both burners for steaks and chops, use the outer burner only for the Sunday roast using the indirect method. You can find out more about cooking techniques for your Weber BBQ by visiting our website.
The Q series is very easy to keep clean; all sizes feature a clever grease management system, fat and debris from the cooking process is funnelled down via the bowl into a handy disposable drip tray which can be easily removed and replaced when full.
Weber offer a wide range of interesting accessories to help you make the most out your bbq, these include a cast iron griddle and a rotisserie for roasting; now available as an add on for all three models.
Perhaps you'll now be tempted to purchase both a Q1200 series and a Q3200 series, the baby Q for camping and a family Q for entertaining at home. Use a Weber q almost everyday i do more work with that small grill than most people do on huge grills. I can cook all sorts of veggies and even peppers and onions and not have to worry about them falling threw.

I got the 1400 from BandQ half price in the sale as a side cooker to my Summit Kamado supplied by Wow. I’m actually quite impressed with it, and it’s decent for smashburgers (got the plancha half price too to go with it). I do love my Summit though!

Why does the American version have the cookbox liner, the aluminum liner?

Are you referring to the Weber Pulse? If you mean the Pulse then it is to help reflect the heat up through the BBQ and better for grease management and cleaning.

Too bad whoever thought it would be a wonderful idea to add mind-numbing music, had the authority to do so--- couldn't stand it and went to Wally World and bought a small grill that works just great, and I didn't have to listen to the "new" way of advertising. Your loss, my gain.
