Season 3 Phoebe was iconic, the Blonde, her relationship with Cole, the new levitation power and her martial arts was on point
Phoebe was Charmed. When the show stopped being about the sisters and morphed into the "Piper Power magic family hour" and background singers the show suffered. This was after Shannon left the show.
A few things was first Phoebe was the only one to have powers from the womb. Phoebe's birth was what made the Charmed ones possible being the third sister before that no one in the family was able to have a third child to the point their mother believed it to be a curse. Phoebe read the incantation that brought them their powers. When the show had the original 3 they were sisters who knew each other inside and out. Phoebe was the one who took to the craft and did all the potions and spells.
This show begin it was about the bond of 3 sisters fighting as 1 that made them so powerful. Not necessarily the bloodline. But as soon as Paige really became a sister everything on the show gave way to Piper's family which was a huge mistake. She was the initial one with the best spells and potions and that changed for no reason other than to push Piper forward. They all deserved separate lives but it shouldn't have only been about all of them. Henry was still a stranger to Paige and that whole whirlwind romance was icky.
But Phoebe was a total badass led completely by her heart. She was beyond iconic and was the one about second chances. That power of empathy and tapping into the powers of evil but not being consumed by them is something only Phoebe could have done.
This show pretended that season 1,2 and 3 and Phoebe being the one to take to the craft whilst Piper fought it never happened.b
Did the whole levitation thing happened cuz she was too weak? And they wanted to physically empower her?
@@pikashock I think it was about her having an active power instead of just premonitions. IMO it was brilliant and an accidental from when Phoebe and Prue switched powers. Astral Projection at least to me seems to an advancement of the premonition power which had advanced briefly to temporal projection. But levitation seems to be more an advancement of Prue's telekinetic power. But since Phoebe was gifted in martial arts it stayed with her. They became very powerful which begs the question of how they were able to survive the first few seasons.

It did make much more sense for Prue to get levitation (basically use telekinesis on herself) and do all the other superhuman movement they had her do in the show, and give Phoebe astral projection, which still would've made for an interesting take with her martial arts skills (since Prue couldn't use her telekinesis in her astral state anyway)
I agree and said the same thing in another video. Prue had to get levitation and Phoebe astral projection (even astral project inside of her premonition, like she did in season 5).

The reason prue got astral projection is in link with her original power : move things and in this case; move her conscience somewhere else.
The same goes for phoebe : her power allow her to get a different perspective, either of the future or the past and in the case of levitation it allowed her to look at events from above (a different point of view)

Also I feel it would've been interesting to show Prue kinda struggle with levitating because I feel she got really good with her powers pretty quickly lol
She was SO pretty
I wish they’d just explained her levitation as her magic’s way of complimenting her levitation. I like how they explained Power growth on the show, but I also think their magic manifest in ways to compliment their physical needs.
For example, if Phoebe ever went blind, maybe her magic would expand her premonition ability to allow her to “see” through the eyes of others psychically or to see seconds into the future.
The tagline for Charmed should have been 'don't mess with Phoebe.' She seriously kicked everyone's ass.

as much as i enjoyed paige i wish the OG cast got on well because as soon as Paige joined the crew pheobe became all about tragical romance and tbh it ruined her potential.

I remember watching the show for the first time I was so shook up on it was not funny and I might have missed my school bus but my brother shows was next the supernatural

It was there, in season 3, that the character of Phoebe lost her splendor. The character was very interesting during the first two seasons. Then season 3 arrives, with this blondeness that doesn't go with Phoebe, this power of levitation that comes out of nowhere and is useless, and above all, it's the beginning of a Phoebe who is no longer interested in witchcraft and who only thinks about romantic relationships.
I always ask...what is the purpose of her backflips cartwheels and hand-stands in combat situation? lol..

One of the things the reboot did better is making them not be scared each time they used their powers lmao. Seeing Phoebe having a heart attack each time she has a premonition or Piper freezing stuff when she's jumping in fear makes me so anxious and it looks silly.
The only thing that was silly was that sad joke of a reboot...and phoebe wasn't scared when she had premonitions, they are described to completely take over her all of a sudden & against her will almost like an out of body experience, that's why the extreme reaction. The Charmed one's powers are literally connected to their emotions, that's how they're activated & triggered, makes sense storywise given how they discovered they were witches so I dont see anything wrong with that.
@@judigemini178 Whatever, it looks silly. Maggie was taken over by her premonitions as well but it was more gentle, like her power was a good thing and healthy. Unlike Phoebe's, it's hard to believe her heart is gonna get past 35 years old like that.

Meh. Felt zero impact when the Charmed reboot used their powers. Phoebe having seizure and Prue squinting her eyes created too much impact to be ignored. Kids back then including me copied those movements cuz it was memorable, lol.
