This guy is on track to retire from a government job before the age of 50 and receive a taxpayer-funded pension of close to 100,000 for the rest of his life. I assume we're going to be paying for his health insurance as well. How many thousands (or millions) of others like him are out there? These government pension obligations are unsustainable. If we're going to keep funding these plans, taxes are going to have to increase to the point where people simply cannot pay them, or governments are going to have cut these benefits drastically. Neither option is going to be pretty.
