Because he's not the director. The director role is to direct, and an actor should act what the director told him to do. If they do whatever they want, then who needs a director? Because it would be a waste of money.

The books were fine, his bias on the book made his acting bad and made the movies goofy asfuck. Seems that they sabotaged the project on porpouse.
@@SofiaVicares I'm sorry but I've studied English philology and I can tell you that books are pretty bad. I read them as a teenager and a fan of the story, but the reality is what it is, the books are bad objectively speaking, there is no more.

Love all his work, and couldn’t imagine anyone else playing his part, however the twilight character he played was brilliant and I don’t think it could have been played better. If you are a huge established actor then you can have some interaction as far as script is concerned but maybe done a bit of diva. Lucky he reigned himself in and it was perfect the character was supposed to be distant.

Basicamente lo que vimos al inicio de la película, interpretó a Edward como alguien muy serio y de alguna manera emo y los productores le pidieron que sonriera mas pero el no veia que eso fuera acorde al personaje, pero ya que su agente le dijo que debia cambiar su actuación y hacer lo opuesto o seria despedido, Pattinson dice que llego sonriendo al set de grabacion y realizó el cambio. Al parecer hubieron dos escenas del momento en que Bella conoce a la familia de Edward, una donde Pattinson básicamente se comporta serio y frio y la ultima que fue la que quedó en la pelicula, es la versión mas alegre y menos tensa.

I can't imagine another Edward now that Rob has done it. But I think that other actors who tried for the role could have done a better job of acting. Especially in the first 3. With the exception of anger,..He seemed to have a hard time with physically displaying his emotions at times. Jamie Bower for example, auditioned for Edward before being cast as Caius. He would have done a better job with Edward from an acting standpoint. He has gotten better since then.

He should have been fired for his behavior. They filmed part of that movie at my kids High School. All the school parking lot scenes were in Kalama, Wa., where we lived at the time. They were filming for about 3 or 4 months at the school. My kids came home all the time and said how mean Robert was to all the kids (and film crew). I love Twilight, but Robert did not deserve the fame he achieved. All the kids were glad when they all left. The whole town was glad.
I feel like your kids might have lied about the mean part but having the crew work at a Public school is a little annoying because kids wont be able to work easily

The first time I’ve read the Twilight book and the movie was still in the making that time I was imagining Hayden Christensen to be Edward Cullen bec he was much close to the description of Edward than Robert Pattinson. No hating, but I don’t find Rob look like the mythical God Adonis as Bella described him.

Robert went off about wanting some water. A 5th grader went and got him some bottled water and he smacked it out of the kids hands and screamed that it wasn't the right kind of water.
