2017-2018 Subaru Forester Rear Running C Light Taillight Bulb Replacement

Could find any videos on how to do this so I made my own, Subaru doesn’t sell any OEM replacements without hastle, so i had to find some with the help of my other SJ friends, Here’s how to do it! I’m not sure why this is a problem among the 2017-2018 SJ forester but once they are replaced it’s better.

I have an ‘17 forester and both my day time running tail lights are out. But, if I press on the brake, the lights come on. When I went to O’Reillys they said I have to replace the entire unit but this video makes me feel like that’s not true. Anyone know?

@@221MagicMan they said the same to me, you gotta take off the taillight how i did and just replace the bulb, it’s a $13 fix

My 2018 Forester Premium has a screw that holds the tail light bulb in. The screw needs a tool I have never seen before, so I can't get it off. Any help?

So stock bulbs ARE NOT LED in the 17 ~ 18 forester?

The brake lights are LED’s, the running lights are not LED’s.
