Did you not know when gliding sideways to avoid tap blasts you can just slide your finger up and your character will move up and back tiles while gliding? Im sure you did know this and it was just happening so fast you didn't realize that's what he's doing but yea its subtle but he just glides up real quick then attacks real quick! haha

Those equipments are friendship equipments.
They give you more points of friendship, they dont give buffs, and you can put more than 1.
