NOTE: This video was originally made to celebrate Chile's participation in the 2014 World Cup.

The "Italian opera anthem" of Group B. Not the best work I've done technically, but when you want to make four videos in a day for a total of 32 videos, AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO DAT!
This is one of the many South American anthems that have stuck in my head since I began this project. I admire the music's similarity to Puccini.
I was able to find the sheet music for this from Amazon of all places! The sheet music can be found here: www.amazon.com/National-Anthem....
I made a few modifications, including transposing the score to C major (as this was the consensus of key throughout the recordings I listened to). I also omitted some excess parts in the piano accompaniment to make it more sensible to play not just the accompaniment, but both melody and accompaniment. Finally, I changed some parts in the left hand to make them more rhythmically active, which I did to give more energy and forward momentum to the music.

Hi David you did a wonderful interpretation of our anthem, I think the most traditional way of doing it is only on piano, simple and clean but feels quite solemn, of all arrays of the anthem this is the one that I like the most, congratulations for a great job and I do have to say that I'm absolutely delighted with it. Interesting comment you make! I agree, my playing on the anthems could have been better given more time. My confidence with the pieces could have definitely been better because I was releasing them quickly (which is natural for any performance that needs a quick turn around).
