  • What's it all about?
The wonderful thing about OTDRs is they show distance to an optical event. In conjunction with well-organized and updated documentation, you can reduce truck rolls by getting as close to the problem as possible. But how do those traces tell us that? With so many factors involved in producing test results, it can get confusing. In this webinar, you will learn what parameters you can control, giving you the most accurate trace analysis.
In this On-Demand Webinar, The Fiber School's Senior Instructor, Terry Power, will provide you with essential information for understanding OTDR trace analysis.

I found this webinar very useful, I also enjoy Mr. Powers he intrigues me and keeps me on the edge of my seat. Again useful for the novice or skilled fiber wrangler.

Some people are complaining too much about the sound and forgets that this is a free lesson. You don't need to pay for any classes so just appreciate the time and effort that OP has devoted to making this video instead of complaining. We are lucky to have a free resource like this one. So, if you can't take the sound problem, then don't watch the video, its that easy.
On the other hand, thank you so much for this clear lecture. I appreciate the lesson. Subscribing here for sure.

Hi! To my opinion it is good lection for that who are going to work with OTDR. I am working in maintenance of the fiber optic cable Primary (Transport) network for 12 years (in my zone 7000km of different kind of buck bones buried in ground and conduit - but not aerial). I had a lot of damages (80

+Gen3Benz We apologize for the sound quality. We did improve our sound for the more recent webinars though. This was one of our earlier webinars and we were still working out the kinks.
