Dollywood is an amazing park. I love the video man. I don't think Lightning Rod is overrated but I do think Wild Eagle is underrated. Great video, thanks man.

Great video and great Vlog! It's great that you got the Lightning Rod credit and to ride those other fun coasters. Dollywood is close to Knoxville, TN and not to far from Nashville and Chattanooga so I wouldn't completely say it's in the middle of nowhere though.

@@CoasterDash There's a lot of trees and forests around where I live in southern Ohio close to Kentucky and West Virginia too. All it is is small cities at the biggest around here. Glad you had a good time ! 😊😄

I’ve realized that Alan schilke designed Tennessee tornado this guy knows how to make legendary coasters

I drove by here once on a trip to 4 Cedar Fair parks and skipped it due to time constraints. This was the summer Lightning Rod came out. I feel I made the wrong choice.
you definitely did. I’ll take Dollywood over every cedar fair park with the exception of Cedar Point

@@CoasterDash also, I instead went to Great Smoky Mountains National Park that day. Based on my experience, that was a mistake.
hold on they have a SRL for LR
but i used Dollywood as a compensation for being stuck in traffic for 45 minutes at the VA TN state line instead of going to a braves game (which a HS buddy of mine was pitching in (for the visiting Cinicnati Reds).

Before I trigger everyone in the comments, Lightning Rod is not as good as it used to be. It used to be my 2nd favorite RMC (right behind Steve) but over time, it has become a bit slower and rougher (still love it but it's a bit overrated). Currently, my RMC rankings (of the ones I've ridden) is:
Steel Vengeance
Twisted Timbers
LRod
Twisted Cyclone
Goliath
Storm Chaser

Lightning Rod isn't wooden anymore, so Zadra's better because it's huge and Wildfire is not RMC's best wooden coaster.

lrod was ruined by ibox, it ran way faster with the topper, sad that you didnt get to see it at its best

If it wasn't for this stupid pandemic, I'd probably be going there this year. But unfortunately we had to push our Boston trip from last year to this year instead. F.....K COVID.

@@CoasterDash No I said I was supposed to head to Boston last year to visit Six Flags New England, Lake Compounce and maybe Canobie Lake Park but couldn't so now we have to go there instead of here as a result.
Lrod is kinda trash because it isn’t a strata, it has a boring and repetitive layout, it doesn’t even have 2 miles of track, the quad down delivers weak floater, and the launch might as well have been made by mack rides. i MIGHT have liked it if it had at least some mild ejector airtime but it didn’t so its trash. dollywood should have gotten a clone of valravn smh
