So you save your pics as jpegs before bringing them into StarstaX? I saved them as Tif into my folder. That way I can bring it back into LR or PS to final edit. Thanks for the great video! ❤

Hi and thanks for the tutorial. I’m running into a problem when starstax is processing my dark frames. I have the same number of star pics as dark frames 100 of each. Darks were taken with exact same settings as star pics. But when processing in starstax it gives me an error telling me that process could not continue and to check my dark frame image sizes. I noticed that my DFs are slightly smaller then my pics. Must they be axctly the same size? Thanks

Thank you for the question. Having 100 dark frames is a little over kill. you only need about 10 at the most. The dark frames need to be the same size taken with the same camera in order to work correctly. Using the same settings as your star pictures just put on the lens cap and capture a few images . In most cases i have found the dark frames are not even needed. The next clear nigh I have i will do a update video that will address this issue. but long story short...yes they must be the same dimension but they will be mush smaller in mb because dark frames don't really contain much informationn other then where your hot pixels are on your image sensor.

I'm starting to use this software, and for images is great, but, do I have the possibility to make a video creating the star trails?
I mean, I'd like to make a video of the trails.

yes you can select "save each image individually" (not sure the exact name, i don't have the program open) on the right hand panel side "image" tab then, run starstax as normal but now you will have a folder of each star stax photo, then take each of those single photos and import them to a video program making each image 1 frame to create your video

@@californiasounddesign3921 thanks, I figured it out a few minutes later after I asked you. It's awesome, a very simple way of making the process easy. Thanks for you answer
