    You know me.. Anything with Elvis Live At The International or Live In Las Vegas are my favorites ! James Burton & Company as his backing band is fantastic ☺️

      @mad4vinyl802 Yeah.. Ron Tutt ! When I saw Elvis from '69 to '72.. I vividly remember his drumming and didn't know anything about him ! I learned about James Burton first.

    Love your Elvis collection and that is quite a collection of titles you don't see very often, if at all. I love that box set. The 7" that I show on my last video came from that Collectors Series boxset, I believe, as it does say that on the back of the sleeve. When I went to the antique mall a few days ago, I saw that someone was selling them all seperatly at $12 each, apparently they didn't have the box they came in. All of them were in tip top shape, but I didn't want to separate them and I didn't have enough to pick them all up, so I sadly had to leave them behind. Great video, Mark, both my wife and I completely enjoyed that. By the way, she found a copy of "Moody Blue" on black for $2 a few months ago, and I told her if she didn't pick that up, then I was going to get it as it is in excellent shape. It's a Canadian pressing and has the hype printed on the cover, so I need to look into it's value a bit deeper, but I knew that the black vinyl was more valuable and it is the first one I've seen.

      Thanks, Mike I've never been able to track down a US black copy of that album, let alone some of the experimental promos that go for $$$. $12 each is a bit much for a single 45 out of that box. I'm glad both of you enjoyed the video.

      @@mad4vinyl802 yeah that's what I thought too. I found out too that the black vinyl on a Canadian pressing has only sold at a maximum of $13. I guess it must have to be an OG US pressing to be valuable, at least monetarily.

    Great Elvis collection, Mark! That sealed 45 box set is awesome! I have a mint condition OG RCA 45 of Elvis doing Little Sister! OMG! That record comes out of my Jukebox speakers like Elvis himself is inside of it! Fun video, Mark. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for sharing Mark. I have to confess I don’t have any Presley LPs. Maybe that was in part in reaction to all the over saturated response to his death. Picking up a comp seems to be the only sensible thing to do at this stage. You have some beauts there. Cheers.

      Thanks, Jack I've watched footage at the time of his passing and understand what you mean. A good comp is really all you need. (and maybe Aloha From Hawaii) Cheers

    With Elvis Having Fun, I will always remember the audience not liking him clowning around and just having fun ! It nade me uncomfortable because I was enjoying the show.. He would start and stop occasionally. Much of that should be on that record 1970 -74. 💫

      @mad4vinyl802  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Thanks, Jt. I can't say I would enjoy that either. I am going to spin that one to see what that was all about.

      @mad4vinyl802 He was very funny and silly.. The audience assumed it was the drugs. I know now.. It was more just having fun, breaking the grind of 2 shows 7 nights a week ! He did that for 5 years !! .. That's how he got big, rundown and unhealthy.

    Hey, I have one of these! (Love Letters). This video reminds met that my brother had quite a few Elvis items. Who knows what happened to them? It must be impossible to find everything released under the Elvis name.

    • @mad4vinyl802
      @mad4vinyl802  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Impossible indeed. RCA really made a mess of his catalog. Far too many reissues and repackaged titles. The Beatles catalog is heading in that direction. Love Letters would be the last title that I would expect you to own. 🙃

    Collecting Elvis would be a daunting task. Has the prices for Elvis albums and singles gone or or gone down in recent years Mark? Is it still hard to find or is there more on the market? You are the first person that I have watched that has such an extensive collection of Elvis, pretty impressive.

    • @mad4vinyl802
      @mad4vinyl802  Před 10 měsíci +1

      The Sun singles still command quite a bit. The majority of his albums can be had for under $10. There are audiophile pressing that commend a lot more. I don't need audiophile Elvis. I see Elvis titles everywhere, although I'm sure this will change someday. My collection would not fall under the extensive category, according to most. Thanks, Steve.
