Mario has to put up with a lot of crap that gets in his way of saving a selfish princess and these are many ways he can just be killed trying to save her. This is Mario's first Adventure... maybe the next adventure he goes she won't need saving :P

I like the names, for example Toll Bridge, Greedy Bastard, Platform Go Bye Bye, Threesome, etc.
Still the best Mario game ever. Also, because I am so used to the 'stiff' controls of this game, I can't play Super Mario World anymore. Plus, there is too much to do in Super Mario World. The original has the basics: you and Mario. Get from one side of the level to the other, discovering secrets and tricks along the way. And the levels aresuper short, which makes dying a lot less frustrating. Favourite way of playing: on the Game & Watch, so I can quit and continue wherever and whenever I want.
I always tough that the meaning of the expresion of Mario dying with his arms in the air was: "I'm so sorry Peach i did what I could" LOL

#51-A: You're too good at the infinite lives trick. (The game stores your life count as a signed integer for some reason. When it hits the hexadecimal number 80, instead of properly giving Mario 128 lives, it somehow wraps around to -127. This is why most other Mario games cap out at 99.)
