So beautiful, Allison! I’m coming up on one year of sourdough baking as well and you continue to inspire me. A little tip I’ve learned to keep the bottom from getting hard/burning is to sit the Dutch oven on a cookie sheet when baking🥰 hope this helps a bit and thank you for this sweet video!!

Thanks for the recipe idea. To stop the bottom crust from becoming too dark if it bothers you is put some foil on the lower rack below your Dutch Oven not the one it is on. Saw this on another video and it actually has the crust come out golden brown instead of too dark. I am so pleased with this being a tip that worked. Hope you give it a try.

Random tip I learned! When baking sourdough in a light colored enamel dutch oven the bottom of your bread may burn causing a thicker crust. I put a sheet of foil on the lower rack below my dutch oven while baking to prevent it from burning, it works wonders!

Your sour dough always looks amazing 😻 I found a local stable farm where the owners bake fresh sour dough, baked goods, and soups. 😋 I can almost smell and taste the sourdough bread. One day I will try this. It looks so good! Thank you Allison for all your videos. I use them so much on my daily routine. Been interested in sourdough but we don’t eat bread enough so not sure the consistent attention to the starter would be beneficial. Those scones looked really good and anything with jalapeños and cheddar is 👌🏻
Got a very helpful tip for you to try next time you shred a block of cheese.
Hold the shredder as if you were holding a saw, the side you’re wanting to use facing up and grate the cheese a whole lot quicker and less physical strain and awkwardness 😁

Where are your measuring cups from? They look nice and sturdy. I’ve had such a hard time finding sturdy ones and one with a 3/4 cup. I love your videos.

Love these recipes! Will absolutely try these. I've made sourdough bred for a few months and they turn out pretty good. Just recently I bought a scoring knife, and I've tried to make my breads pretty withy patterns like yours, but my patterns almost disappear into the crust, and are almost invisible after baking. Did you have this issue in the beginning? Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any tips? :)

Add a tinfoil square on the bottom of dutch oven. 🤌
