I always mis-coat and do one or sometimes two coats of paint once the plaster is dry and before installing the kitchen. Most quality kitchen manufacturers recommend this.
Great tip…thanks!
Hi Nick, really well thought process, timescales and costings. For people renovating or updating items in the house or if you've purchased a Reno for a flip, this channel is an excellent, honest, informed guide. 👏
Thank you, Edith.
Great video as ever nick looking forward to seeing how your house is coming on mate 👏😎
Thanks, Neil
Excellent info! Thanks!
👍
Very helpful Nick thanks
You’re welcome!
So flooring...so many different opinions about when it should be laid? Should it not be sooner ie before you fit the kitchen.
My exact question too. Please Nick advise on the best time / method for each main floor type e.g. Is a concrete floor best levelled with compound and then tiled up to the walls before the kitchen units go in or some other method? What about a laminate floor etc?
I always do it at the end. The kitchen goes in and then you can take the flooring under the kitchen slightly and then install the plinths. If you are screeding easier to do that first though before the kitchen goes in but I have also seen this completed at the end.
Great video Nick, thanks for the breakdown on costs. Was wondering on average how much a 4.5m kitchen extension plus renovation would cost?
I’m actually posting a video on this soon!
Kitchen looks lovely, where do you buy your kitchen cabinets/appliances/worktops from?
Kitchens = DIY Kitchens
Worktop = MT Stone
Appliances - Mix of Appliances Direct / John Lewis and local suppliers
Mention my name at these places and they will help you out!
Iv been quoted between 60-81k for our kitchen utility and dinning area to be done with flooring lights rip out etc think i need to shop around 🤦🏻♀️
Oh wow yes that sounds ridiculous. Ask for an itemised quotation so you can see why they are charging so high.
I have the that they just charging so much for everything it’s silly this is from independent kitchen businesses any recommendations for the Kent area I would be grateful
Where’s the kitchen from nick?
DIY Kitchens in colour Dakar
Thanks mate
First, I think your ears are cute, and second, are you like 7 feet tall? 😊
