I really wish eufy would work on the quality of the cameras and not on bringing out so many new models.
I'm with you on this. They definitely need to streamline their offerings and make it the best they can within their pricing targets.....
Agreed, they need to work on their quality control and not put out so many camera models with strange names. It’s really gotten confusing. E340 is this are floodlight or doorbell? Apparently it’s both. So confusing.
Same here... I'm initially confused with this C220 and the outdoor C220 which happens to have renamed from C24... Also I would love to see at least 2K at 20 to 25fps streamlined...
Their naming convention is also so hard to keep up with lol

thanks for the info. Great video, a nice cheap option for a 24/7 recording camera. If you already have the homebase 3 even better. Unfortunately the audio like most Eufy cameras isn’t so great.
This one cuts out and I know it has something to do with their noise cancellation.

The older cameras like the t8410 pan and tilt will do facial detection when paired to Homebase 3. I have one and it works great.

I've noticed from your video that whenever the C220 moves around tracking, the audio will be inaudible. Does that also happens with the E220...? When you say the audio on the C220 is just average, are you referring to this issue, or in general compared to the E220...?

It would be interesting to do a shootout video between the different Eufy indoor 360 motion cameras to see which one is the best choice. Plus, I'm not sure why Eufy decided to have multiple of basically the same thing as i know of 3 (C220, E220, and S350).

Hi. Can this camera be set to record only when the Eufy alarm is activated? And when the alarm is deactivated because I am at home, should the camera stop recording? or do you know another camera model from Eufy that accepts such a setting?

Do you have any official @Lifehackster advice for placing indoor cams (especially pan & tilt) with alarm motion sensors in the same room?
I’m curious if your testing has revealed any do’s and don’ts where an indoor camera’s IR (for night vision), could trigger the motion sensor in an alarm like Ring Alarm Pro/eufy etc?

Hey LifeHackster - I purchased as well as I already have the E220 as well as the S350. I also purchard the now discontinued Eufy wifi "Mini" indoor pan and tilt (renewed from Amazon). The C220 is more like the Wifi Mini indoor P/T but after extensive testing I found one of the features that the mini has that the C220 doesn't. You cannot use the privacy mode as part of the "Home" scheduling. When in Home mode you have the camera go into privacy mode as part of a schedule. The C220 has removed this option. I sent Eufy a feedback letter asking where does this new C220 fit in their line of cameras. I seems they added some features from the S350 but removed features from the E220 and the mini. I don't know why they discontinued the mini indoor pan and tilt as it is also a 2K unit. Thanks for your review but I don't know why they released this model unless they do some firmware updates.
Thanks for the heads up on the privacy mode...the mini and the S350 has that option in home mode. Hopefully, they will update this model.
we recently brought the Eufy E340 spotlight cam but it stops tracking when you walk directly underneath it. is this a design floor? how can i make it work?
On all tracking cameras, it is a hit or miss when motion is going towards and under it

If you mean IR night, yes. You can either turn it on/ off or auto.

You don't need the homebase 3 for baby crying or pet recognition - the 2k indoor camera can do these things locally without homebase. It is just some locked features because Eufy/Anker wants you to buy the homebase / online subscription. Same reason why they started to remove sd card support and only give very limited internal storage.
Please, any ETA for a new EufyCam (4?)?

1. It is impossible to remove a video memory card
2. Who want to take out video clips, part of the video is stuck and blurry
Is there a solution for this??
1. Just push on the micro SD card and it will pop up.
2. Make sure you are recording in 2K quality. Also, because the camera uses high compression, there are a lot of motion artifacts when tracking in ON.

@@LifeHackster I tried to extract video through the memory card and it does not work, the company said that it is not possible to extract video from the memory card only from the animation
@@emnuell12 If you mean, removing the micro SD card and plugging it in your computer...then no.. Eufy's videos are encrypted, so you will not be able to download the footage directly from the card. You have to do it in the app.
@@LifeHackster There is another way to display the video because downloading a long video in the app is exhausting

I'll choose the older model just for pet detection...actually the pet command feature of the E220 because I do use it for our dog.

I switch to Eufy S340 and e340 . I was using ring cam for years. The eufy app is not as good as ring app.
I have had this camera for over 6months now and I still don’t have an option for HomeBase ?

I watched your video on the UFC cam that you stuck onto the window with the little black silicone thingy. So I ended up purchasing that complete set up. I hooked it up and attached it to my window, turned off infrared, and turned off audio because it was only recording inside the house mostly anyway. So I didn’t really need audio. It recorded for about two days and then it says out of data! Out of data? Out of what data I was recording onto an SD card with local storage onto the SD card! So now I can watch live you or I can click record and have it continue to record either 24 seven or a schedule that I put it on, such as nighttime only. But the issue is when I put it on record if I wanna go back and look at something live, then I gotta go all the way back and push record so the thing could start recording 24 seven again. There is no playback. I’m not being able to Playback anything I recorded an hour ago it’s not showing up. And I don’t understand what I’m out of data means it’s not on my cell phone and it’s not on my Xfinity Internet so I don’t understand. I don’t know if it’s a ploy for them to get me to buy more things or subscribe to something I don’t know. I just can’t figure that out.

First, there is no subscription needed for Eufy cameras. I'm not sure about the "out of data" but I know you don't have to push the live view record button. Go to the settings, video settings, and continuous recording if you want it to record 24/7, if not, go back to the main page in the app and click "security" on the bottom, click on the camera and make sure on whatever mode it is in except for disarmed, that the camera is recording and of notification is ON if you want.. Then, the recordings will show on the events tab or in the small square with a number on the thumbnail. If you want to see the timeline playback, go to live view and click the playback tab.

Idk the footage looks horrible compared to my aqara e1 PTz camera.
When the camera tracks because of high compression, it has a lot of motion artifacts.

It should be a crime for Eufy to release a WiFi camera without HB3 AI support, especially after initially promising their previous models would support it.
I know. It is ok for their older cams... well older than the HB3 but for their newer ones, it should have full support.
Eufy needs to uncap the goddamn bitrate already.
The AI FACIAL recognition doesn't work
No facial recognition on this one..with their other cams, it is a hit or miss.

HELP!! Please!
I’m not as tech savvy. Is all you young folks!! I’m a woman over 60 trying to learn. Here is my dilemma…
I don’t understand most of this technology. I have the Eufy indoor camera that attaches to the window with the little black silicone unit. I also have the SD card installed in the camera. It is the higher SD card the 256 I think but definitely not the lowest 64.
When I first installed the SD card, the camera was attached to the window up and running, it could record for days 24 hours before it said , “out of data “. I didn’t know what that meant so I got fooling around in the settings and I could see that I could click on the little pencil thing up in the corner. Check all the boxes for all of the videos for that day and delete them. I went back through the settings to see how much data is left on my SD card. It was showing it was a third full, even though I deleted all of the videos! So why isn’t the SD card erased? Why isn’t it showing that it is empty?? And because of this, I can only get 24 hour recording and then it says out of data again! I did go to somewhere in the settings that stated, format and so I did I followed the directions on the format, which seemed to work and I was able to go under the homepage on the settings and click on it and see all of a whole list of my videos, the following day I get 24 hours of recording now and then it says out of data. How do I this? How do I get this SD card to erase and start over? Now I did choose the lowest quality video setting. It’s just becoming a hassle. It’s just it was great in the beginning but now it’s just a hassle. It’s just becoming a hassle because I don’t understand it. Somebody please put out a video showing us this to set it up how to where to go to delete the files. Explain the quality and how that affects the SD card storage and all of that could somebody please take the time to do that for us older folks that don’t understand the new technologies?? I’m just trying to put up some cameras the easiest way possible to protect my home and my surroundings. Not necessarily from people invasion, but from raccoon invasion.!!!! told
Also , if I purchase more of these UV indoor cameras with the little black silicone window mount, which base do I need to use with these cameras???

My reason for purchasing these cameras that record 24 seven is because I have ring cameras but they don’t there’s there’s a time lapse in the recordings and I’m missing a lot. I’m trying to catch these little critters trying to invade my home, so I definitely need a 24 seven set up , without having to try to run wires all through my home to a box!!
Did wanna mention these indoor cameras are to be attached to the windows to look outside no infrared and no volume. They’re in addition to my rings.
their pan n tilt camera are sucks. i’m sswitching to tapo using non pan n tilt with better resolution
Very grainy .. but they may because you have so many cameras on your internet system. 15 fps is Ok.. Not a rockstar product.. I give it a C ... like See ya later..
It records to the SD card so internet has nothing to do with it. It is because of the high compression, plus the motion causing motion artifacts... I did make a video on this a while back...
The audio quality is terrible once you walk away from the microphone.
This cam is a loser. I don’t know what Eufy was thinking. Horrible audio, no pet detection and not fully integrated with HB 3. Tapo cams are kicking Eufy’s butt recently.

That’s exactly why I don’t like Eufy, not all cameras are well integrated to the homebase 3 especially older cameras. Believe that’s their tactic so people keep on upgrading to new cameras. Scumbags.
NEVER buy a Eufy security camera. EVER. I would avoid anything made by Anker as well...same company. They cannot be trusted with your data(even though they lied and claimed it was not being transmitted to any server).
I will not buy the audio is terrible
