Next up, Italian man: The Real Life Mario

Mad respect for the scientists that named the genus after crash
Boy do I have a news for you...
@@AlvinCornelius he's talking about the fossil one
Wait until you hear about the real pterosaur called Aerodactyl and the dicynodont species Bulbasaurus
There are nerds in the scientific community. They named DNA after Sonic and Robotnik iirc
Certainly it wasn't Cortex.
“WOAH!”
-Crash Bandicoot
WOAH!
**WHOA**
WOAH
Woooah!! *sad noise*
*W H O A*
Imagine being such a gamer, that you become a scientist, purely to discover a new bandicoot, to name it Crash.
Gotta fund that gaming addiction some way :P
Someone actually named a species of Pterosaur after the Pokémon Aerodactyl. Close enough, I guess
Now that’s what I call a pro gamer move
Or Perci from sonic boom
crash bandicoot haha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was legit waiting for a fact regarding the spinning attack.
The species can be found in Tasmania islands too... Bandicoots must've been inspired by its devils...
@Muse Suse Then its gonna be a montage of them just going full on beyblade across the fields
I'm pretty sure if she starts talking about the effects of cocaine on bandicoots she risks demonetization
@@ottojetto4067 hold it... that makes sense!
Why though? Also, why admit publicly and online that you're stupid?

I better hear you say "whoa" at least once in this.
*never*
_Whoah_ haha i didn’t say it! :p i said whoah

Fun fact:
Fun fact: Bandicoots only say woah when they mate

There are few distinct, quality, narrators on CZcams... This woman is definitely one of them.
Not to mention a totally wonderful artist. She is one of the best artists of critters past and present.
Zefrank1 is gold
I disagree, she’s putting lots of random emphasis on the words… Like she’s trying to make the content interesting because of her enthusiasm and not because of the quality of the content
@QTee Yep, some folks don't like quality narration. I guess we just shrug and enjoy Danielle's great work.

I must be an animal nerd because I knew lol
@Pyro Thermite ...Wut?
I am still wondering why a bandicoot was chosen for a video game.
The question is: should warehouses be concerned about the safety of their crates? 😂🤣
I say keep the go kart keys hidden
That’s probably why they don’t use wooden crates much these days

Based on her references to the Komodo Bros and the polar bear, I'm guessing Danielle's favourite in the series in Crash Bandicoot 2. And I'm cool with that.
Now that you mention it, the music that plays in the first half of the video almost sounds like a lawyer-friendly version of the Turtle Woods stage in Crash 2.
You're not wrong, most Aussies have never seen a bandicoot in the wild either, the double blessing of conservation and COVID-19 that's really helping these critters get back on their feet

It must be hard for Australia to keep restocking their crate supply when they have wild Bandicoots running all over the place
"Bandicoots are from Australia"
Well that wasn't surprising.
Everything is from Australia now.
😂
Wait a minute, isn't Australia doesn't exist?

I eagerly await the popularisation of the Platypus
The music for this video is amazing. I like the xylophone inclusion, reminds me of the Crash Bandicoot OST.

Too bad, there is no live-action Crash Bandicoot currently.

As someone with depression, this channel is one of the few that ALWAYS brings me joy. I find myself with my jaw dropped in excitement by the end of the video. Thank you so much!

For me the one thing that always cheer me up is TWICE music, that got me through one of the hardest times in my life.
I didn't know this is what real life bandicoots looked like. Given the design of Crash and this one bandicoot seen in a comic book in a episode of Sonic Boom, I always thought they were a species of wild canines. I had no idea they were actually a species of rodent like marsupials
Taz and Crash have one in common, less talking, more swirling around!
Love them both.
Two actually, they're from Australia
And three: they look nothing like their real life counterparts
This is such a pleasent youtube channel
I know! I love how she includes positive notes, like I’m glad I found out the population is making a slow recovery, that brings me joy

I’m positive that one of the drafts for the bandicoot sketch involved shorts.
The Eastern Bard Bandicoot, best known for its epic poems and ballads
All my childhood thought crash was a fox, and bandicoot was his family's last name.
I feel like all your videos should at least have over 500k views each vids you’ve shared so much information with us with such high quality.
Definitely made my day and greatest bday gift in learning that a genus is called Crash Bandicoot.
My partner and I live in clarendon South Australia. We have southern brown bandicoots here and we are lucky enough to have lived on a property with them hoping around in the garden! They are surprisingly smart and have very interesting personalities. They would steel our picknick food regulary..
I love this show. Thank you so much for all of the hard work that you put into this video series to share with us the amazing world of animals.
Excellent episode! keep them coming.
wait bandicoot is an animal?
It sure is.... there is a lot more to Australian fauna than Kangaroos and Koalas.

Great vid! It’s awesome that bandicoots are making a comeback irl and in games.
Wish there was a video of a guy cosplaying as Dr. Cortex standing in a field with the animals saying “Oh no, I’m surrounded by bandicoots!”. 😱
Someone needs to show this video to Caddicarus!

Dear Danielle,
Another AWESOME video thank YOU!
It's called susundri when it comes into my home. Its so rare to see this cutie, but I get very hyped whenever it comes. 🤣 🤣
I just learned last week that bandicoots were real animals, thank you for this timely video
I love the references. I am smiling for the entire time the video was running!
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Quite interesting how Crash was inspired by a Bandicoot even though they don’t have much similarities.
Huge Crash fan here, Crash wasn't initially designed to be a bandicoot, they made the design first and chose the species later. Species considered included a potoroo and wombat - while a wombat has never been featured in a Crash game, the character Pinstripe (the guy with the suit and gun who runs the power plant in the first game) is a potoroo.
I mean out of all the Bandicoots that were anthropomorphic-ized Crash, and to some extension Crunch, look more like the Bandicoot.
@@supermakermatic2111 also the potoroo originally was a bandicoot when crash was a wombat
it looks like a shrew mixed with a kangaroo.... a kanga-shrew, if you will
I remember playing crash bandicoot as a kid great memory refresher thanks Danielle
Excellent sound tract at the end, really loved it
Didn't even know there was an animal like that... thought "bandicoot" was just his last name... 😑
Teenagers man. Jk you can't know everything 😉
I thought crash was a fox 😂
That makes sense at first, but then you have Tawna Bandicoot, who is his girlfriend aka not related to him, so why would she have the same last name?
"Bandicoot" is (as far as I know) the only name of a marsupial that originates in a Dravidian language. It originally referred to a rodent found in India.
Next Up, Hedgehog: The Real Life Sonic
Thank you for making great videos!
So if I’m getting this right, the Crash games have mostly Australian animals? So can Tiny actually be a thylacine?
Yeah and in game the wumpa islands are based off of islands off the coast of Australia
I know she was looking at the endangered ones but as an austrailan seeing someone be amazed and awed by one of these oversized rats is hilarious. Try having them infest your school and eat your lunch lmao
I mean deer are oversized rodents here and they can be pests too, but they are still pretty darn cute. Mice are like the cutest animals ever, but basically a plague level pest.
Don’t know to be annoyed or amused as a gamer if I lived in Australia lol
You never knew how dangerous this creature till he go wumpa-wumpa and destroy anything he touch
Those guys are seriously Bandicute.
I'm glad I'm watching this because it's making me wanna play Crash and I'm about to 😊
Could you do a video on the Tauros cattle and the organization Rewilding Europe next?
I just love these vids!
Besides your talent of the gift of gab, I wish I had just a tenth of the talent you have when it comes to drawing all those critters. I almost enjoy that part more than the story. Lol. Thanks, Danielle. 😊
Time to buy him some shorts, sneakers, and fingerless sport gloves. 🤓
Australia really got serious animals I have to see!
Australian animals often have cute names. Who doesn't enjoy the sound of "kangaroo" and "kookaburra" (And the actual sound kookaburras make)
"But the weirdest looking bandicoot, which isn't a bandicoot" is the one we used for the thumbnail in a video about bandicoots, lol.
1:36 okayyy I... I hold up i thought it said PIMP
Next up, Worms: The Real Life Earthworm Jim
Danielle,you're such an amazing reporter!
THANK YOU FOR ACTUALLY DOING THE BANDICOOT ❤❤❤
It's truly impossible to overstate the devastation that introduced species have had on the Australian ecosystem.
If some hunters are so into hunting, then let’s get them plane tickets to send them to Australia or other invasive specie infested places. I remember seeing a post where a hunter had 50+ foxes lying on his driveway only to discover later that they were in Australia.
There are 3 predator free reserves in Victoria where the Eastern Barred Bandicoot is being protected.
More have been found in Tasmania and some are taken to the mainland for breeding programs to increase DNA diversity.
There are currently in excess of two million feral cats loose in Australia.
Your work is awesome!!!!💌
I love reading the comments of the confused Americans lol
I'm American, and I knew about the bandicoot for at least 10 years. The eastern barred bandicoot, however, I'm not so sure about. Definitely not the Crash genus until today.
Keep your crates away from these critters! (Btw Crash looks nothing like the real life version, video game developers are liars)
I think they just liked the name Bandicoot, bc crash looks nothing like it, like it looks like he wasn’t even modeled after it
IKR? Crash looks more like a fox.
You're right on the money here. In fact before being named Crash Bandicoot, one name up for consideration was Willie Wombat, even though he wasn't designed to look like a wombat either.
I think they wanted to draw on a real animal that people knew little about. Like how a Tasmanian Devil is a real animal but the Looney Tunes character is basically something Warner Bros. animators made up.
"What is that thing, a fox?"
-Nathan Drake, when he's playing Crash Bandicoot. (Uncharted 4)
Wow, that's very interesting!!! Thank you!!!
The people that said first didn’t even watch the video
No shit
that has always been true
Ikr..
Yes
Aw, it's just a kangaroo-rat.
the eastern barred bandicoot was considered extinct on the main land due to destruction of habitat (grasslands) until a colony was found living in a tip at Stawell !
I always thought these animals were supposed to be dumb because I played the Crash games growing up.
