If I had to choose this type of vehicle, I’d have the Toyota, which is less expensive and still can have all the safety and comfort equipment of this Opel. It’s only a little less finished on the inside, but I don’t care since these are actually vans, so I’m only looking for space and practicality.
I’d chose the Zafira Life only for the 4x4 option and the panoramic sunroof, but in this case I’d get a traditional MPV as a Seat Alhambra.

My uncle has Toyota Proace LWB with 2.0 T, We went to Croatia last year, in 9 persons, full trunk. Wery comfortable ride. Good AC.
I can´t understand how they made it. Making Citroen, Toyota, Peugeot, Opel on the same base and technique and looking pretty much the same.
Only thing that annoys me is that you can get them only in diesel.
I hope PSA comes with e-van soon.

Good work AJ and Michel - many thanks. A clever and practical budget alternative to a Multivan, but I think I'd take the Multivan. From experience, the Transporter (the versions with individual captain's chairs and arm rests both sides!) are very comfortable to drive for long extended periods. Cheers.

I wish it didn't have these indented curves above the wheels, this really makes the design gimmicky for me. Is there a reason why the could not keep it more conservative and VW like?

Currently using the A model as it is a great hauler for mountain biking, just big enough for two people, two bikes with the front wheels off and a lot of other kit stuffed inside. Will look at the electric if it has enough range in 2021, as we could do with a little more room so we don't have to take the wheels off. Really was hoping they would stow those seats and show it's true potential. If not then the simple answer is to look for a diesel hybrid and so we don't burn fuel on those short in town runs but can still get the miles in long distance. Or just get a later one, whichever has the least issues.

When you say that "unfortunately" you have the animal skin seats. I know you don't like the real leather because you think they are killing animals just for taking the leather. This is not true. The industry is using the skin from the animals which are for food. So there is nothing bad in taking the material. The animal skin is very good for cars, because it is nicer to touch and it's more durable. Also it's great for shoes and clothes. Despite that very nice review!

      @autogefuehl  Před 5 lety +1

It's not as easy as that. First, check out what the leather industry is trying to do:

thank you, Autogefuhl! Good review, I like your work very much.
Let me add some personal feedback, I hope others find it useful as well..
Took Peugeot Traveller Allure (Standard) - which is the same car - for a test drive over weekend. Did about 400km with a family of 5 (3 adults+2kids). Reasonably nice ride, steering is not sharp, but manageable. Was not too uncomfortable on narrower bendy roads, car was surprisingly agile in the sharp corners (have not pushed to the limits though). Accelerates well (for a van. I reckon 10..11sec to 100km/h. good spurt for overtaking - ex. from 100 to 130 km/h). Cruised fine at 130km/h on motorway, but gets rather noisy - might be uncomfortable during long trip. It rolls a bit front-to-back over bumps and road waves - my family is fine with that, others might get seasick.. Not sure about going at higher speeds - it should get up to 180km/h, but I was not confident pushing it. I think suspension is too soft for that, would benefit from having variable one with firmer 'sports' mode.
Size-wise: it is big, but not huge - fits most regular parking spaces and sliding doors do help. in the boot, I managed to remove rear bench seats (2-seater is properly heavy, needs two people - unless one is powerlifter) and fit 4 road bikes with front wheel and steering bars removed. there was enough space left for 4 IKEA boxes /4 large suitcases on the floor and lots of packets on top of bikes/boxes. should fit 5 bikes, 5 people and luggage with some smart Tetris-like placement.
    Negatives:
fuel consumption - perhaps good for a van, not so for a car. my petrol 5+2 MPV does 200km/h and averages 9l/100km. this one used about 10l/100km with moderately sedate driving - and also needs AdBlue.
Navigation - based on TomTom, but very awkward to use. I have standalone TomTom navigator and cant fault it's convenience.
Storage - useless. huge pockets in the doors that are not able to hold water bottles upright, some smaller pockets/spaces here and there - most are inconvenient/useless. empty space between front chairs - good for walking to the middle row, wasted space otherwise. no place to put phone or sunglasses conveniently. no storage under middle row / back seats.
    biggest drawback - for me:
after 2 hour drive I developed strong pain in my upper back. Drivers seat is strangely shaped with top 15 cm of the backrest curving forward, so that regardless of lumbar adjustment most of my spine was in the air and I was crunching forward - causing extreme discomfort at the end. I am 183cm tall, it seems people below ~170cm might be fine.
    cheers

No, in fact this Vivaro Life and Proace Verso are basically Traveller / SpaceTourer.
Because the design, development and manufacturing (including engine, gearboxes, platform, monocoque ... everything) is PSA.
The same goes for Proace City which is a Berlingo / Rifter / Combo.
The collaboration between Peugeot Sociète Anonyme and Toyota Motors Corporation consists of Badge Engineering: Toyota places its brand logo.
      Best regards.
