Hello! Watched this on line. I have family members who had TB decades ago. Also deal with TB as part of my professional public health role and I found this really interesting thank you 😊 🌈

As an engineer, I absolutely loved the call-out at 11:40 - *_Engineers (yet again) improve public health._*
A very hearty thank you for highlighting our contributions!

This was riveting. As a lifelong sufferer from URTI and a career as a cardio respiratory physiotherapist treating many lung diseases, I found this lecture amazing. Thank you.

My father was treated for tuberculosis twice in the 1940s. The doctors collapsed his lung, as described in this lecture, (pneumothorax, Dad called it). If he’d contracted it a few years earlier I might not be here! Also forced Dad to give up the trumpet, which he would have played while in college.

You get ads based on your browsing habits, you obviously spend time looking and reading about things like VCU Health.
My ad was for electric car chargers, which I’ve been researching a lot recently.

The world did not get SARS-COV-2 within 2 weeks, it was never sequenced.

It's probably best if you just listen and learn from what Professor Whitty has to say. His lectures for Gresham College have been excellent. Very informative and clear.

Still avoids traching the dangers of poor mask habits, because they become a hazard and offer a false perception of protection, it only helps under conditions specified on packaging or OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 Appendix D-1 (which your employer must provide if you use your own mask).

Why do you yanks always assume America is the rule on everything? OSHA is American and only American. We have far superior health bodies in more developed countries like the UK.

@@AHJ99. why do you assume me to be a yank? OSHA was designed in 1970 along with HACCP in 1979, I have beenntrained on both. What can you prove to me that I haven't already been trained about? Cause I'm leaving out 27 years of other life experience and have had a lifelong passion for Natropathic health.

@@AHJ99. ANIA Z88.6 International standards of respiratory use qualifications. Accented and is almost a mirror image of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 Appendix (c) combined with the Medical Evaluation and Fit test. Also 3M standards apply, and many of those are manufacturer’s responsibilities, the best way to eliminate a hazard in society is not creating it in the first place.
