6:39 Fill: (16th note triplets, I think) R,L,K,K,R,L - R,L:high tom,R,K,R:snare,L:high tom - RLKKRL the other hand notes are played on low tom. I recommend to play that part in 0.5x speed to practice it.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's RLKKRLRLKKRLRLKKRL. That's how I've been doing it. It's hard to tell exactly what he's doing though.
+Brandon Townsend Thanks for the comment :) I think the only difference in your sticking is one of the low tom hits is a kick hit. Both work and give the same sound I think. If you watch it on a computer at 1/4 speed you will notice though that he hits 3 low Toms then the high, back to the low and then one kick, but again I think it's just preference and that both work equaly well. It's such a cool fill though. I'm glad elevation worship gives some tutorials :)
+Jonathan Klassen yea I agree. Either way does work because it sounds the same. I just haven't watched it in slow motion. That's the way I've been playing it. But it sounds cool either way. =)

I agree 100% :) I'm kind of a perfectionist. So when I hear a song I could get away with generally knowing the song and playing it, but I like the pay attention to every little detail and play it exactly like the album. Sometimes I give myself slack but when I have extra time, I disect. That's why I love these tutorials haha. But I do think perfectionism can be a blessing and a curse at the same time. +igneousmirror2 it's a DW Performance series Tobacco Stain. 18x22, 9x12, 14x16 and idk the snare - cymbals are heartbeat. and you can tell its the performance series because of the smaller dw circle lugs.

+Jonathan Wehman actually I think the kit is a Kingston. I know Elevation uses them and is actually on Kingston's artist list. There are top shots in other videos where you can see the Kingston K logo on the kick.

Just curious if Vincent is still with Elevation? And if so, do he and Luke rotate with live albums, tours, etc?
well for the past 3 years vincent has played in the here as in heaven, there is a cloud, and hallelujah here below albums with luke playing with him in here as in heaven and hallelujah here below.. but I think luke does most of the live tours cuz he played on their hallelujah here below tour in late 2018. But vincent is definitely still with them because if you watch elevation's church livestreams, he plays sometimes, rotating with other drummers of course, and he also played in the paradoxology so i'd assume he's still around
Earl Bae yeah also I saw him play in November 2019 when elevation did the tour with Hillsong and casting crowns.

Anybody else having trouble playing the turnaround at 6:38 ? I know he hits the snare on 4 and its a combo of RLRL with kick mixed in between but figuring out the exact pattern is tough. I also know he only goes up for the high tom so he can hit the snare on 4 so high tom is before and after directly the snare. Can't tell what he starts on since they are 32nds and tough to decipher. HELP!!
I can't play it either. I can play the FT part, but cannot for the life of me hit the snare I the middle of the roll. Ugh

2 floor tom hits, 2 bass drum hits, 3 floor tom hits with sticking being rlr, then with your left hand hit your high tom followed by a bass drum hit, then 1 snare drum hit, then you hit your high tom followed by 2 floor tom hits with 2 hits on the bass drum followed by 2 hits on the floor tom so sticking is f f k k f f f h f b s h f f b b f f
f= floor tom k = kick drum h = high tom s=snare, I hope this helps

Its a snare muffler, maybe a snareweight...not a hundred percent sure. just google snareweight and you'll see what I mean.
