Still had many rough spots but im sure he will improve. Im not surprised if he one day reach the level of Kevon Looney (which is not bad imo)

@@toptiercrip This. Maverics are too small, as are almost all teams which Nuggets capitalized last year and will again. There is a reason Minnesota looked the best against the Nuggets last year out of all teams despite considered the weakest. And as you said Luka is liability and Kyrie doesnt exactly help that.

Great international NBA game displayed in a beautiful city of Abu Dhabi
People are sleeping on Minnesota. Last year they honestly gave the Nuggets most trouble out of all teams simply all due to fact they also have size. The rest of the league still opted for small ball even this season which puzzles me because Nuggets simply powered through everybody with their size. Looking at history of Nba teams have never been smaller.
They played well against denver last year in the playoffs without Naz Ried or Jaden Mcdaniels, 2 of their top 5 or 6 guys AND Karl was not 100% coming off his calf injury missing 52 games. He looks like he got his burst back now which is promising. Not to mention Ant is also him in every way and keeps getting better… the time is coming for the wolves
Small ball dominates until the current era of skilled big men like Kat and especially Jokic.
The league always changes. I predicted a couple seasons ago the league would start going big soon. It is all dependant on what players come up through the drafts. If every draft had 60 steph currys it would be 5 on 5 stephs vs stephs. There has not been any Shaqs, Hakeems, Robinsons, Ewings, etc... etc.... Once that happens these small teams are going to get destroyed by the next Shaq.
@@WheresWaldo05 Not just Shaq like. Just generally bigger players. I just looked at some of the rosters from 80s, 90s and early 2000s... Heights are so much bigger. Every team had a proper center and a proper power forward along with big SFs and big SGs. Only PGs were small. I shudder to think what Bird's Celtics would do to todays teams like how are you gonna get rebounds next to Parish, Mckhale and Bird?

Mavs when Kyrie was the primary ball handler with the Celtics, Nets and Mavs last year it was a disaster. When Kyrie played off the ball or created his own shot with Lebron as the primary ball handler they won a title. Start Kyrie, Hardy, Luka, G. Williams and Lively. Kyrie can handle the ball some of the time but Hardy will be the primary ball handler. This way it will not be Luka and Kyrie just handing the ball off to each other. They're both ball dominant and Hardy as the primary ball handler can score but more importantly he will keep the ball moving. Starting lineup:

G. Williams

You're starting 3 players that do not play great defense, 1 rookie and 1 okayish defender? That team will get blown out with ease

Hardy shouldnt handle the ball but play as the 2. What could have solved dallas' issues was draymond green but he stayed in sf
@@bigsamkay that makes no sense because you will have defenders G. Williams and Lively on the floor. People said the same thing about Dame and C.J. They also said the same thing about Garland and Mitchell but you had Mobley and Allen playing defense. The Cavs won over 50 games and Portland went to the postseason 8 years in a row plus Hardy is a good defender.
@@maartenvz what??? I wish people would actually watch the games. In the last 2 preseason games, Hardy was the best player on the floor at PG. The commentators talked about how the ball moved with Hardy and he controlled the tempo. When it was Irving and Luka on the floor they were down 29-9 because there’s no ball movement. Luka would give the ball to Kyrie or Kyrie to Luka and that was it. You do know Hardy is a PG? That’s what he does, he handles the ball.

A lot of mistakes, Dallas especially need to work on their defense, the offensive mistakes should minimize with Kyrie and Luka handling the ball. The end was especially entertaining!

@tripleraze321 team chemistry? The squad was 19-19 at one point in the season before the Kyrie trade and Luka was dealing with a calf issue. Obviously no real defense since they were 1 or 2 games over 0.500 in win percentage

@tripleraze321 Team chemistry for a bunch of players who were on a 1-year deal basis for that season and was most likely going to leave? How long have you watched the NBA? Rosters change in a drop of a hat? There was no great team for the Mavs before that trade as they had too many guards, no real center, and no real star player to give Luka rest. After the trade, they solved 2 out of 3 issues with the center position being a developmental project with the Derek Lively investment.
