    If one is 50 years old and ready to learn German and face exams....
    Is is possible to get specialty training in say psychiatry or internal medicine etc?

    And how about the German mentality? My husband ( from Israel) has been working 3rd year in Germany as Assistenzarzt, and can just not get used to the 'cold and egoistic' mentality. He feels very lonely and there is no support, belonging. We are planning to move to Israel, probably not as good working conditions as in Germany- but at least there is heart in people.

      Your age will not stop you from being a medical doctor in Germany. That shouldn't play a role at all.
