How to Perform the Weber & Rinne Hearing Tests | Clinical Examination Skills

  • In this video, I demonstrate how to perform the Weber & Rinne Hearing Tests. These two screening hearing examinations are commonly used in the primary care setting as an initial evaluation of hearing loss. The Weber and Rinne Tests are very quick and easy to perform during your patient assessments and are essential clinical examination skills to master, especially as a provider in the primary care setting. If there is any concern for hearing loss after performing the Weber & Rinne Hearing Tests, then further evaluation by an ENT specialist is likely needed.

When one fails this sort of hearing screening, it is much more efficient to refer directly to an audiologist because that is where the patient is going to end up at some point in the process. For those cases that need ENT treatment, the audiologist will make that referral based on formal testing results.

Please a little meditation to determine your destiny .. It is impossible for this statement to be the speech of any human being, which describes the creation of mankind and the heavens and the earth and what is in it this accurate description and with this power.
      🌸🌸🌸
      12. And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).
      13. Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).
      14. Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allâh, the Best of creators.[1]
(V.23:14) See the footnote of (V.22:5).
      15. After that, surely, you will die.
      16. Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.
      17. And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation.
      18. And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.
      19. Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat.
      20. And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows (produces) oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters.
      21. And verily in the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat.
      _____________
      115. "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"
      116. So Exalted be Allâh, the True King: Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!
      117. And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allâh, any other ilâh (god), of whom he has no proof; then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kâfirûn (the disbelievers in Allâh and in the Oneness of Allâh, polytheists, pagans, idolaters) will not be successful.
      118. And say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!"

You didn't explain Rinne test correctly, in Normal, air conduction should be at least twice as long as bone conduction.
In sensorineural hearing loss, air conduction is heard longer than bone conduction, but it is not heard to be twice.
In conductive hearing loss, the bone conduction sound is longer than or equal to the air conduction sound.
Thanks for your effort. Keep it up
