Why does the camera keep showing the ref when he scores? Never pull away from the action. Missed a lot of wrestling because of that
Dominick is a special talent, strong, quick with great balance. His opponent had no chance.
I felt bad for the other kid he was getting dominated on his feet
What an absolute clinic on the feet. Tough rider on top and prob could've rid his opponent after each take down. But I love the warrior spirit he showed to not be happy with a win but wanted to dominate.
Killer snap down & throw-bys.
NOTICE: To all the young wrestlers out there watching this , understand that you don't always have to shoot to score. It might not be the prettiest, but look how effective it is. And it that skill set will translate awesome in college where everyone has great defense to shots.
This is a great match that demonstrates that you can be an assassin on your feet without shooting.
Though I'm sure he an elite shooter as well. But at this level, I'd bet that he scouted his opponent and had a great plan in place.
This kid has a bright future ahead of him and kudos to him, his parents and coaching staff!
It takes a ton of commitment from so many people to become a 4x.
Anyone know where he'll be going to college?
@Casteus Combs Good for him. He'll do big things there!
Unlike 4x Vanmatre I think Serrano could compete with the Midwest guys. Not trying to be mean to but VanMatre just needs alot more work.
@@MF-kb2nv I agree, he's got the toughness to compete. It'll be cool seeing him get better. Esp against the MW like you're taking about.
@@MF-kb2nv He can do more than compete with midwest guys. He won Fargo nationals and only gave up 7 points in the tournament. He destroyed midwest guys.
@@chriswallin5165 I just started following this kid. Looks impressive. I'll have to make note when he wrestles for Nebraska
He was a tough kid very good wrestler
Let see how he does in college.. whole new level. I’ve seen former 4x state champions get crushed in college lolll!
Crypto Kid TV! he is #2 in the country at 132. I think he will do great in college
How did you do in college, crypto kid?
@@daytonasayswhat9333 loll honestly I sucked in high school and my college did not have a wrestling team!
@@mattgreg1 I think so too but it wont be a fast start for him... i can also be proven wrong too lolll
Crypto Kid TV! Lol, I figured as much.
Super fast
I thought the guy who lost was a bit of a jerk at the end by throwing his head gear and not looking at Dominick at the final handshake. No shame in losing to that guy. But show respect for what he accomplished.
He pinned himself
Ehh not really he still had control of the kid
168-0 holy fuck
Blue just wasnt physical enough, never really committed to his shots
Just two with undefeated careers? What class? Who? Just curious. I am from Wray, a flyspeck on the map, and our Eagles won back to back titles this year. I loved the competition and it was a lot of fun. Oh to be 16 again LOL.
Kyle Sand from Arvada West did it in the early 2000's. I believe class of 2004.
Kyle Sand from Arvada West. Class of 2004.
The reason I asked is because way back in the 1960's Brush (Class A?) had a Heavyweight, Mike Tomasini, that won at least three state titles as a Sophomore, Junior and Senior. I am not sure about his Freshman year. I was the Wray heavyweight and I remember well a few of my matches with him. If I remember correctly he went undefeated in at least those three years. At least six of his victories I was his victim. BTW he was/is a great guy and a Great Champion.

The reason I remember Sand was he was a freshmen my senior year in the same weight class. 160lbs
Tough kid. Look forward to watching him at U Nebraska.
Who was the only other unbeaten Colorado high school wrestler?
Kyle Sand - A-West
chris Wallin Haven’t heard of him. Did he wrestle in college?
Daytona Says What?! He had a lot of issues off the mat, grades, law and injuries, etc. He ended up winning a JUCO and division II national championships but never wrestled DI. Pretty good article about him. milehighsports.com/undefeated-life-lessons-champion-never-lost/
Cohlton did is that he dominated everyone in his way at the upper weight classes. Rare to see that. Most, if not all, of the other 4-timers wrestled in mid to lower weight classes. It's way more difficult imo to wrestle bigger, stronger, more mature competitors when you're a freshman or sophomore. Dude was a badass. Just bummed out he didn't find more success in college. It certainly didn't help that his career timeline was alongside Gable's. HWY division was stacked for years.
You would have to be Superman to be a 4x State Champ in Illinois
He kind of is he’s ranked #2 in the country
Dean Hamiti
Hayden Copass
Kannon Webster
The Nasir Brothers
I'm sure I'm missing a few more or maybe even listed guys who already missed a state championship but still, these are guys capable of it in Illinois
I lost to this kid in the 7th grade by 5 points and was so hurt looking back I should’ve been proud! guy never fucking lost, didn’t know who he was before wrestling him or I prolly would’ve got teched.
He looks good but to be ncaa champ most are from high schools in ny, nj, Iowa, Ohio, PA, Illinois, minn, Cali etc
CR Ri yeahh... but he’s beat kids from those states. He’s #2 in the nation
There’s plenty of NCAA all Americans from Colorado.
I wonder if he got tested for any performance enhancing drugs. Cuz he’s a fucking tank compared to the other kid. And he showed a bit of arrogance and rage. Didn’t really like him being unsportsmanlike. But I’m curious to see how he will do I’m collage. Yanni D would whoop that ass.
Bruh blue was scared lol mans kept running away
Shit is wack the guy in the blue is no competition so the other guy you can’t say he good af bc he didn’t have a good challenge
It must be really easy to win a state championship in colorado
not really, a lot of stud kids there
I think everyone is fairly average w the exception of the few kids who win four times they’re just an elite that no one else can catch
You’d be surprised man it’s the 5th biggest state tournament in the nation
He also won Fargo Nationals so that must be easy too.
Facx
educate me Colorado people...which one of these is considered a "punk"?
?
Huh?
The guy who lost is probably more of a punk
