When this got to Top Of The Singles Chart, the BBC banned it from being played on their radio stations. They claimed it was free Election Propaganda for the Scottish National Party, who were campaigning for Scottish Independence at the time! This of course made it, exactly that. 🤣. 1992 General Election, I think it was.
Currently the BBC, supposedly impartial, are holding an election debate programme in Kirkcaldy, but refusing to let Kirkcaldy's current MP appear on it. As he's an MP for the ALBA Party, who are the ones CURRENTLY campaigning for Scottish Independence. Things haven't changed.
