God a poor dog spending 9 years, its whole life in a shelter, so sad

It is, but at least they haven't given up on him.

This is actually disgraceful. 9 years? What on earth has been going on for 9 years? Do people not train these dogs whilst they are trapped in these shelters? I mean after a year of a dog proving difficult to home, is there no one who trains dogs, who could volunteer to come and work with them. Surely people that run these charities have more of an obligation to help these dogs, than just keeping them locked in, fed and watered? 9 years is cruelty in itself.

You clearly weren't listening. Freddie has in fact had 2 homes but his guarding issues as explained in the video meant he was returned each time. He's not trapped in the sanctuary, just has not got an owner. He's clearly happy & well fed, there's no issue here, just an animal rescue home doing its best

@@paultilley7658 well he's hardly able to come and go as he likes is he? He still spends most of his day on his own doesn't he? I appreciate the shelter does it's best, I just wish their best was better.
Staffys love being with people and are loyal and protective generally. It's tragic. Guarding issues is not a great reason, for not having a home after 9 years! Because it means he wasn't placed in an experienced home with people prepared to take him on and work with him. So he's had three people take him on and abandon him. Not great is it. Only gone to two homes... why? The shelter has failed this one in my opinion.
What do you think has gone wrong? He could end up never having a home at this rate. It's so sad
