  • Was tired of having to manually switch to eco mode every time I turned on my car and found this module on the forums and ordered it right away. Install was so easy and works perfectly I really couldn't be happier.

Awesome video.....I just installed mine on my hybrid and it works fantastic. There are 2 different versions of the module available. One for a vehicle without remote start and one for a vehicle with remote start. Ask me how I know. Seller was very cooperative and made sure I got the correct one. Very highly recommend this add-on.

Great AddOn, does this one simulate the push of the button, or uses the Can Bus, to send an specific command?

At 5:36 when you say splice in, what exactly are you doing? Wanting to buy this but honestly scared i’ll mess something up, never worked on cars like ever and the maverick will be my first ever new vehicle

All this box is doing is simulating you pressing the Drive Mode button "x" number of times. The box gets its power from the fuse block, then grounds the wire going to that button to make the truck think "Hey, the driver wants this mode selected." The connector is a Tap-Run connector like a Scotchlok 905. It has a metal blade that goes through the insulation of two wires (Insulation Displacement Connector) and bonds them electrically. They're used extensively in vehicles, especially trailer wiring, so there are millions of them on the road.
The white wire from the box gets connected to the wire on Terminal 7 of the console connector. The box gets power, it waits a bit, then connects that wire to ground however many times it's programmed. It's the same thing that happens when you physically push the button.
This is about as simple as car mods can get.
