For those who don't understand Chinese, here's a summary of what's been discussed based on my limited Chinese knowledge, because subtitles are hard to do: 1. Gold Rose Hairpin - Qinglong liked giving hairpins to Ruyi and the gold rose hairpin was her favourite. She didn't bring the gold rose hairpin with her to the Cold Palace even though it was a treasured hairpin and had it kept at Yanxi Palace because she believed that she would be released from the Cold Palace with the help of the Emperor. In the end she was disappointed that she was released not because of the Emperor's efforts, but because of her and Hailan's covert activities. 2. Suxin already knew Liyu liked her - She knew the moment Liyu gave her a hairpin and it's implied that she hinted to Liyu that she rejects his love through the conversation where she says that she's jealous that Jia Noble Consort had so many children. Gao Noble Consort directed her hatred to the wrong person - While the Empress had gifted her the basil seed bracelet and the Emperor treated her coldly, hence her hatred towards them, in the end she never knew that her ailing health, which was the 2nd reason for her infertility, was because of the Dowager Empress' actions behind the scenes. The Dowager Empress plotted against Gao Bin, Gao Noble Consort's father, by messing with Gao Noble Consort's medication, because he had a hand in forcing her daughter to be married off to the Mongolians and she resented being separated from her daughter. 4. Princess Hejing's resentment - She resents both Chun and Xian Noble Consorts for having a hand in her getting married off to the Mongolians when she didn't want to, hence her snarky comments when she returns to the palace. 5. The reason why Ruyi destroyed her part of the portrait - In one scene Ruyi found out that the imperial artist was instructed by the Emperor to paint a portrait with him and Rong Noble Lady. She goes on her way without saying much. She had always thought it was only through becoming the Empress that one could be in a portrait with the Emperor, which was the case with the Fucha Empress and herself. However Rong Noble Lady, a woman who had just entered the harem, is getting this privilage despite this being against the rules just because the Emperor says so. Ruyi's heart breaks and she shows this after some hesitation at one of the gates by stepping with her left foot first (only men were allowed to do that, while women had to step with their right foot first). She's also seen shedding tears, which was camouflaged by the rain. Hence the destruction of half of the portait with her and the Emperor. She doesn't want to be in a portrait with a man who doesn't love her back. 6. She had early on stopped identifying herself as the Empress - In the last meeting between the Emperor and Ruyi, the Emperor invited Ruyi to join him at the Mulan Hunting Grounds. Please pay attention to Ruyi's language, where she uses the word 我 (I) instead of 臣妾 (I, your servant) to refer to herself. This indicates that she no longer viewed herself as the Empress or the Emperor's woman. Instead she's just a regular woman who refused to be associated with the Emperor.

These English translations are hilarious. They make no sense. It’s as if each word is translated without any connection to the sentence as a whole. A pity. This series RRLITP is my very favorite show, but so much is lost in translation. I am American and binge-watched the entire 87 parts two times. The acting, the costumes, the scenery and the musical score are so wonderful. I just can’t get over how wonderful it is. Wallace Huo is so cute

還有一個細節就是，我覺得如懿去見金玉妍最後一面拿給金玉延看得王爺祕折應該是如懿訪的王爺字跡，為了要套金玉妍的話，因為在王爺真的進祕折給皇上時，祕折是黃色的，剛好皇上又有把這封祕折給如懿看，而後如懿給金玉妍看得祕折變綠色的，所以極有可能是如懿做的局，因為她知道只有王爺是金玉妍的死穴，後面金玉妍問如懿是不是騙她的，如懿笑而不答就離開了，代表如懿目的達到了，而且以其人之道還之其人之身（畢竟這手法跟當初金玉妍害如懿的方法）如出一轍

5:00 减画那段，我个人感觉放到倒数第二集结尾，有点不太适合。因为看之前和乾隆的对话以及之后和容佩的对话，如懿都是那种很淡然的心态和语气，很自然得谈起过往、谈起仇敌、谈起爱过的人，这是一种完全放下的心态。而剪画，这一般是人在情绪激荡之下的冲动行为，不太会是淡然心态之下会做的事情。
那时的如懿看到这幅画，应该就是淡淡得笑笑，因为这幅画已经成为过去了，也没必要剪与不剪了。
其實也不一定，她剪畫的感覺，有點類似分手後，先把東西收拾乾淨，然後悄悄提著行李離開，這樣的女人也不是沒有。
