- Crossing fences and other obstacles in the field, make sure you know the appropriate steps to take in order to stay safe. Don't throw caution to the wind, learn about hunter safety at www.hunter-ed.com.
We are currently taking Hunter Safety and in last night's class, the instructor did not recommend taking off your cap to cover the barrel since it is reducing your area covered by orange. He said it is better to carry a handkerchief to cover the barrel. The cap would work if there is no other option, but there are safer ways.
Really enjoying your videos though. Thanks!
Thanks I’m taking hunters Ed today
Check the bore to make sure it is clear before reloading. I know you put your hat down, but you might not always have a hat or dry ground.
re-training required
If there is a fence. Go to the gate with firearm on safety. Safety first. If you have to cross a fence then you may be trespassing lol.
A member of my family was killed by his own rifle while out hunting with his brothers, trying to climb over a fence while holding the gun. He slipped and fell, and it went off.
I know a guy who lost his father...... he used the butt of his revolver to hit a nail into a fence post to secure wire. It went off. He died. Some people shouldn't breed.
Wouldn't it be smarter to check the safety before closing the rifle in the case of accidental trigger pulling?
I hate 725 on shipment. Don’t use it please for the players
