I got Alma BB last year in October, I’ve been chasing it around Europe for a few months, finally found one last in DE in smallest boutique in Milan. Love it since then, very carefree and still looks new :)

Thank you Minnie. I always learn a tidbit or two when I watch your videos! It helps to know that others are experiencing the same issues/concerns with their bags. My DE B 25 lock showed tarnishing a couple of weeks after I brought it home so I polish it up every so often.

Just want to share something..I used my Alma BB recently with my Speedy B strap (without the middle part) and I fell in LOVE again head over heels! It feels like having a whole new bag! It’s easier to carry and I’m not getting paranoid that my Alma will bump into things.

OF COURSE you have this bag and have a video 😍 My chase is about to begin for this bag in the preloved market but I was iffy as to whether I should get it in the DE or Monogram because I already have a Speedy 25 in DE. I didn’t want to be overkill with the same print but I don’t want to worry about uneven patina.

I would keep the zippers and lock situated on top of the bag to prevent jiggling and tarnish if I owned one☺️(It’s now Jan and I now own one can’t wait to pick her up from store!!)💕

Great video 👍 I’ve had the Alma bb DE since 2013. The leather strap will definitely stretch and become longer with wear. Mine is also lovely and soft now. It has no cracking or peeling, it’s just a bit longer now that it’s not as stiff . My zipper is still as smooth as the day I bought it. I have noticed the newer Alma bbs have stiff zippers! You have to ask the SA to let you see about 4 of them in order to get one that’s smooth. There are no wrinkles on my handles or any peeling. I can only hope LV is making these bags in the same quality as they did when I bought mine.
Yvonne Fernandes The leather finish on the DE is not as shiny as before, it is more like matte finish. I’m thinking of getting the Epi instead.

Minnie you can buy Parafin Wax at the grocery store and wax the zipper yourself. I do all my LV zippers, it works like a charm 👍🏻😆
This does not relate to the video, but I LOOOVVVE the way you speak. You speak so clear and crisp.
If the wear on your hardware is tarnishing, as opposed to chipping or scratching, it is very easy to clean. Here in Melbourne we have very humid summers and I fight a constant battle with tarnishing on handbags and some jewellery. If you rub over it with a gold jewellery cleaning cloth it will come off very easily and look all shiny and new again.
Wanting to purchase this bad in the monogram since I have the favorite in the Damier Ebene and don’t want two cross bodies in the same print.... strongly considering it
got mine in oct! used it for maximum 4 times and there is already wrinkling but it was there when i got it!!! going to LV soon again, to the store i got it and they will take a look at it to see if it is normal....

After I bought my YSL bag, and Chanel not having the rectangular mini in lambskin in stock, my husband suggested we go in the LV store in Venice. I never wanted anything from LV but I have seen your video on the Alma BB so I had the SA show me 3 different ones. I was surprised at how small it was but when I put it on, I fell in love. It was the only bag that I liked and so I got it also in DE. I’ve had it for a month and still love it. Thanks Minnie! Minnie!! Thanks for this video, I have a serious question. I also have an Alma bb that I’ve owned for about 1 year which I use not that much maybe on special occasions.
I’ve noticed that where the handles on the side that faces the bag it has a little hole that is a crack or rubbed off leather, maybe from rubbing the buttons or the handle attachments. Does yours have that too?

I've also done a wear & tear on the Alma BB over on my blog (thebeautynovel.blogspot.com) when I had it for 1,5 years.. honestly this bag holds up so well for the amount that I actually use it. I literally wore it every single day for a year straight and it's still in great condition!

So I purchased the damier ebene alma BB in Paris last summer. Beautiful bag BUTTT...One day I saw a tear where the handle of the LV tag is and it broke my heart. I figured it rubbed against the leather too much and maybe that’s why 🤷🏻♀️.
So much money on an LV and I already had a tear a few weeks in. Do you know if it can be fixed, the leather? The tear has gotten a little bigger and it upsets me knowing it cost so much. HELP
Nayelley lv has two years guarantee. You can take it to the store and I think they'll fix it

Hey Minnie great review! I know you went over the wear and tear and if you had noticed torsion/twisting you would have mentioned it but I just wanted to ask. You said you mainly carry the bag by shoulder/crossbody strap. I know the detachable strap connects to opposite sides of the bag which can cause it to twist/lose its shape from the uneven distribution of the weight. Have you noticed any of that wear and tear? Or should I say, if you didn’t rotate your bags as well (because Your collect is GORGEOUS WHY WOULDNT YOU ROTATE SO OFTEN😘) could you foresee it as a potential wear and tear problem? Thanks!!!!!! I want to add it as my first luxury bag but that’s the one thing holding me back, I’d rotate it with my other kate spade and coach etc but I’d obviously want to wear it more since I want the cost per wear to be low :)

I bought an Alma PM pre-loved from FASHIONPHILE. It was in very good condition except for the zipper being stiff and catching all the time. It has nor improved at all, actually getting worse. Since I purchased the bag from Fashionphile, do you think that Vuitton would help me by waxing the zipper? Or will they fix any LV bad for a fee?

Lindsey Tatum yes! But I wouldn’t recommend it only because it looks a little weird and as it is a structured bag you’ll be bumping into things a lot more
