Defensive play calling was horrible in the 2nd half. Every time we had the Hokies in 3rd/4th and long, we went to a "prevent" defense and gave them the first down to keep their drives alive. Prevent defense does NOT work! The team played great overall, Doege made some bad decisions and was not accurate(WR's bailed him out alot), O-line got "weak" in second half and wasn't opening any holes for Leddie, but the worst part of the game was the poor offensive play calling and the "idea" of prevent defense. Just play the damn defense that got you to the 3rd/4th and long situations, as they are what works!
Hopefully Neal's lack of coaching ability will be the nail in the coffin. Then we can get a coach who will win and not talk about how to when in the next game.
