mona invite dr. umar on lmaoo on the philly tip. or someone who can break down colorism b/c light skin ppl in our community do not face colorism. the literal definition is “prejudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone.” idk why ppl try to remix it to fit their narrative. every group has its struggles, sure. but for light skins, colorism is not a part of their struggle.

Disclaimer: haven’t reached the part where she started talking about colorism in this specific episode… Previously I’ve heard her speak on colorism on this platform and others. I will say that she has acknowledged the darks skin perspective and got it mostly right but decided to take a controversial stance by almost only focusing on her POV I think 1. Because it’s entertaining and controversial 2. Because she genuinely doesn’t think she should be scared to voice her experiences and opinions and this is her way of doing it. There is a better way for her to do both and stay true to her and be funny/entertaining and she’ll probably get there with more notoriety and backlash
