He mentioned some places. Most notably Glasgow and Edinburgh. Also he said primary and high school along the lines. My guess is he talked about where the Scottish Gaelic frequently spoken and where he or they provide teaching services.

To me, he sounds like he speaks Scottish Gaelic as a native language, because I don't really hear a English language accent. Can someone shed light?
yes I can confirm! donald was a neighbour of my family home for many years and grew up on the island of scarp, as a native gaelic speaker. he worked very hard over the years to protect gaelic and promote it throughout scotland. he sadly passed away in 2020 though 😢
Really? He has a strong Scottish accent, only that he's speaking that accent through Scottish Gaelic.

@@michaels2007 yes, thats why I said I am Scottish-American. Don't forget to that saying that Im American could be offensive to Native Americans because the U.S. is not my ancestreal homeland, Scotland and Ireland technically are genetically and historically.

As someone from Scotland i sometimes find it slightly annoying when Americans obsess over heritage, because unless you know direct relatives from Scotland, it is highly unlikely that you are anywhere near as Scottish as you think. So saying ‘yes’ doesn’t answer my question. Secondly I never actually called you American. You are most likely an enormous mix and dilution of different European nations. Story’s passed down from ancestors and parents saying were Scottish are no longer reliable unless you know for certain you had ethnically Scottish ancestor
@@michaels2007 well, I am Im also half Mexican, again Mexican is a citizinship so Im of Spanish, Basque, Moorish, Catalan, and Native Mezican or Mestizo. Im allowed to say that I am Scottish because your problem of being slightly annoyed by Americans saying their Scottish is not as bad as Native Americans who are the original people of the United States. They would prefer for me to say that I am Scottish, Irish, Welsh, German, and English rather than an American. And America is a country of people of multiple ethnicities. There is still a sense of Scottish and Irish in the U.S. History and DNA don't lie.
@@michaels2007 also, Im gonna get back to my homework. Americans are very diverse people with multiple ethnicities and you say that stories are passed down. Well the majority of white people in the U.S. are of Scottish, Irish, German, or English ancestry.

There was significant trade between the British isles and Semitic people for many thousands of years. Phoenicians, Egyptians, Minoans, etc.

Most the Celtic languages sound very Eastern European or more Middle Eastern if you don't know the language

He looks Jewish or Italian islander. Interesting to have such looks in Scotland (Sean Connery also had a southern European look).
