    I'm the same way in my trailer. A couple of 'homes' for some items and A LOT of places for miscellaneous. You can't have homes for everything, so I've given up. It's all miscellaneous. lol

It is an awesome one off product for how to start a handyman business minus the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my BF at very last got amazing success with it.

    I believe I may have that same Makita table saw. I've had mine going on 30 years and its a real work-horse. The best part is that it's very light - under 40 lbs while everything today is 50+. Great for setup and takedown at a job.

That's okay that's fine I have no problem with it I don't need the Hardee's big jobs I'll leave it to the big boys because I'm not as fast as I used to be I'm 55 years old enjoying doing this out of work so please keep up the good work and making those videos and thank you very much

    Putting as much as you have, it's hard to make it look organized, You have done well. I agree with the height as well. It would be nice to have a place to work with a vice or mount a mitre saw. Or a place to stand when it starts to rain. Nice job. Your trailer shows that you work for a living.

An idea for a video would be you doing a project and show/talk about how you go in/out of trailer, which is quick to get to and why, where the hardware is that you are using, and how you access it. A good "this is how I use the trailer" video. I really appreciate all the content you put out.

    A tool trailer is one of the best choices I ever made... it places everything at your fingertips , this way if I need a hammer I know exactly where it is, also have a foldable wagon in it to transport my immediate tools needed inside the jobsite. If you're a handyman as Lee said it's almost a necessity!

    I been looking a 6x12 enclosed trailer at Lowe's that's $2,899. Ramp back door. Side door. V shaped front. You're right, putting tools in the bed of a truck gets old fast. I like your set up. Simple. Functional. Rough. It's great! Do you plan on decals/wrap on the trailer? Man I can't wait to get one of my own! Is there a certain way you roll your extension cords? Also, what brand/type of caulk do you prefer?

    • @handymanjourney
      @handymanjourney  Před 6 lety

      Nice man!! Thats exciting! When do you plan on getting it? I bought my trailer off craigslist for $1200. I don't Plan on putting any decals on my truck or trailer, just my magnets. I had thought about putting advertising on my trailer in the past but dont see the need for it right now. Who knows though. I found this cool way to wrap my extension cords in a chain! I love it, It makes storing and moving the cords so easy and no knots! Maybe I should do a video on that! I like the Alex brand caulking.

    These Ron Paulk guys are amazing, but I don’t see how it applies to us (3-4 job stops a day guys, with a lot of different materials to pack with us). Tools are important, but I go through a lot of materials in a day, and in a week. I don’t have time to make 4 lumber yard trips in a day. If you shove some sheets of CDX, or drywall, you can’t access all your tools, and that gets frustrating. Real life..... how do you keep your materials accessible, and dry, and be able to get to your tools?

    I don't agree with tool trailers unless you have a single trade - like trim carpentry. You would be better, faster, and smarter to have a handyman service truck with a utility jobsite topper with flip up sides. Trailers can be stolen in a heartbeat. Also you have no room to haul appliances. Gas mileage goes way down, and a breakdown or accident is a total disaster. But, to each his own.
    Handyman 101 is to finish a job and get the hell out of their driveway, causing junky trailers and trucks. However it's better to take the time to replace everything where it goes straight away, and clean as you go. It took me YEARS to admit this makes the most sense.

      It's funny you say that, cause my work rig is a 36 foot goose neck trailer with 7'6" tall ceilings and it is Jamb Packed.
      On the plus side, it's so freaking heavy and it's a goose neck, it's not likely to be stolen, I never leave it anywhere that doesn't have a gate and guard on duty, otherwise it goes home with me.
      I do have a $%&! load of tools in it, but what I value the most is all the hardware I can keep with me, Iv'e tried everything over the years, I couldn't do it nearly as efficiently without the trailer.
