A little over a decade ago, Todd Greenburg, then CEO of the Bulldogs, tried to buy Manly's winning culture. They got Des Hasler (coach) and Crusher Cleal (recruitment). They also eventually got Tony Williams (T-Rex) and Kieran Foran and tried unsuccessfully to get the Stewart brothers Brett and Glenn. It got them a couple of Grand Final appearances (2012 and 2014), but no premierships.
Now with Gus at the helm ... the Bulldogs are trying to do the same thing again, only this time they're buying, or at least trying to buy, Penrith's winning culture.
And Storm in their early days bought Chris Anderson and were influenced by the Bulldogs as a club.. so what?
Look at there defence and effort. Salty keyboard warriors. Once they polish off woods, conti and oniel. They will win a premiership, do your homework people.
