Hello everyone! :D This might be one of my biggest projects, a WHOLE boss?? :O I've made this from the ground up with some help! This is a reimagining of the IHY creepypasta by Slimebeast

Congratulations, you really knew how to give him a voice of the character showing his emotions and his most perverse acts, while not making him sound so overacted as if he were a cartoon villain.

The alternate path got me more, seeing Luigi immediately feel guilty after seeing how nice and naive his brother is was kinda sad, and he accepted not trying to kill him continuing the future games later on
But the game crash makes me think, what did mario eating the mushroom actually do?
@@dylanzlol7293It think the mushroom is making Mario hallucinate, Luigi notices that Mario isn't coming to fight him and goes back to check up on him, sees Mario tripping on the ground and seeing as even intoxicated Mario cares deeply about him, he gives up on killing him.

@@pros_0143i feel like Mario isnt tripping, since its still connected to the games, thst path could have been opened in some sort of secret weird way. Luigi discovering this path himself and finding his Brother.
In short terms i feel like mario casually lost a life jumping off that cliff, and respawning at the area he was before
I love how just like the original rom hack, Mario actually feels regret about his actions. Most interpretations make Mario look like he doesn’t care in the slightest about his brother’s death
Also how it’s revealed if Luigi talked about his feelings, this could’ve been prevented as Mario would have been more than accepting of how he feels.
The originals end screen had Mario look like he was pissed off at luigi

It's funny how usually it's always "everyone loves you mario", but as a kid I always argued with my brother and sister about which one of us gets to be Luigi

Yeah, almost everyone I know liked Luigi more than Mario. Ironically, despite being known by most of my friends and family as the "Mario kid", I always prefered Mario over Luigi.
I love how Mario is more in character here. Like he loves his brother and was worried about him. In the original he intentionally pushed him to the lava, here its something he couldn't stop. Idk, i like this take more.
IIRC, the ROM hack is the only instance where Mario killed Luigi on purpose.
In other iterations like the exe file and Mario's Madness, he never meant to kill him and it was an accident, just like the original story. He even cries over his brother's death in those versions too.

I’m in love with this retake. All the tiny details like the mario corpses and thwomps in the background or Luigi shaking more in more in the koopa clown car section, to larger parts such as Luigi actually explaining his reasoning for trying to kill mario. I also love how Mario seemingly puts on a brave face when fighting Luigi, but once Luigi’s dead, he falls on the floor sobbing. The fact that the burnt luigi is actually a figment of Mario’s Imagination trying to cope with the loss is a great detail. And to top it all off, you actually made it a game! My hat goes off to everyone who helped make this game.

-Mario crying when he kills Luigi realizing what he has done.
-Luigi actually felt guilt about trying to kill his brother and decides to move on to the afterlife.
-other residents mocking Luigi for being number 2 which Mario didn't notice and ignored it.
-Mario at the end still feeling guilty and cruel for allowing his brother to be mocked by others.

5:31 - 5:37 out of all the delievers of that line made by other VAs, that was honestly the rawest and bone-chilling one i've heard until now. You can hear the despair and pain of Luigi being burned alive by the lava, while being aware that he could no longer do anything to save himself and that his time had come.

The end area of this just reminded me of a really old Mario fangame a had almost entirely forgotten about called Luigi Takes a Walk. In it, Luigi goes on a walk to the right, passing by friends and occasionally jumping over small obstacles. But from the very start, sometjing feels… off. Luigi isn’t as happy as he usually is, and so he checks the mail, but it’s all bills he can’t afford, so he goes outside for a walk, and you can see that his house is the D-Rank house from Luigi’s Mansion, which isn’t actually the worst house possible, it’s pretty average, and anything is better than the tent you get for an H-Rank at least. Anyways, Luigi walks to the right, passing a few toads talking about tin foil and IHop’s lunch menu and stuff. And then, not even a minute into his walk, Luigi comes across a bottomless pit, standard Mario stuff. But then the game stops and asks you whether you feel like Luigi should keep going or not. From there, you either walk right and Luigi jumps, ending his life but preserveing his memory forever, or go back home, selling everything you own to stay alive and try and find a better life to live. Either way, the same somber song plays over the cutscene.
I believe the game was made for a competition to create some disonance between the other happy Mario games and this one, but no one else submitted anything, so it didn’t quite go as planned. It didn’t even win the competition because it was cancelled due to lack of submissions.

I love how this remake goes.
A fangame of i hate you is not where you have to go through stages to fight Luigi, which has no explained reason to hate Mario.
But here, Luigi actually has a reason to fight his brother, all of the fame going to Mario while Luigi stays behind as a second player.
It's actually amazing how you turned a simple fangame into a actual story and a amazing fight, you did incredible on this.
As well as the voice acting, it is on point.

The fact that a creepypasta which was originally a joke can be made this good is amazing.
Nah, not only did Luigi break the bro code, but he also did it knowing it was the wrong thing to do. That's crazy.
I’m suprised no one has pointed this out, but during the cutscene where Mario talks after the fight, he walks to a cliff, stops for a while, before going back and seeing the burnt Luigi telling him to let him go. Was Mario contemplating of jumping of the cliff, and if so, is this his first time at the cliff? Or has he been here multiple times already? Based on the fact Mario doesn’t seem shocked or suprised by the presence of Burnt Luigi (Which is either Luigi’s ghost or his imagination) and Burnt Luigi’s dialogue, it seems as if Mario has been at that cliff multiple times, which is very saddening. Luigi is probably the most important person in Mario’s life, and Mario has always seemed to be protective, probably due to almost losing him (Multiple times), when they were just babies, and with him being the older twin, it would make sense why Mario would care so much about Luigi, which is probably why Luigi’s betrayal and death hurts him so much, especially since he probably blames himself for it, even if Luigi’s spirit (or his mind) tries to tell him to let him go.

I really do like this take on the IHY Creepypasta.
I'm really fighting with whats better: The ROM Hack or this Retake.
I like the Romhack for feeling accurate by having it play on a hack of the original SMW SNES game and being a bit better, flow-wise.
But... this one I like for the lore and Mario's more accurate feelings towards Luigi's betrayal.

THIS IS AMAZING.
This was pretty great! I liked how Luigi explained why he betrayed Mario instead of immediately going into battle. And the "The End" screen was a nice touch because I didn't like the implication of the original story that Mario was angry and grew to loath Luigi after his death.
Lastly, I loved how Luigi's spirit redeemed himself after realizing his mistake and told Mario to move on with his life. Good work!

Turning the Mushroom into another ending is very interesting! I like that!
Also, I'm not quite sure what happened at the end but it's still very wholesome!
So here are my guesses:
1. Mario took the mushroom, somehow blew all the way past luigi (tripping) and the static at the end is just Mario getting off the high.
2. The red area is all real, and the static is just the game recognizing that there's nothing new to uncover in this secret path, and perhaps some kind of bug kicks you out.
I always thought the ending screen in the original was kinda lazy since Luigi just kinda looked like a zombie. He actually looks like he was burned and melted by lava here! Nice work as usual!
I like the touch that the other route has luigi survive at the price of Mario's life. The voice acting is kinda silly but I think it carries over some of the personality of the original pasta in that sense, and that scream was great. Great stuff, keep it up :]

Good work! Fun Fact: Many people for a long time believed this creepypasta to be a serious one but as it turns out it was made to basically mock aspects of some bad creepypastas. It was also made by the same person who made the "Abandoned by Disney" semi-duology of creepypastas [Honestly Abandoned by Disney would make for a fine found footage animation]
I really like what you've done here as said by multiple others. In this version Mario never meant to kill Luigi at all and you showed how sad the aftermath was where Mario was pondering about how things could've gone better and none of this needed to happen. Alongside that I like how the mushroom was actually to help you get into a secret level instead of being only a joke like in the original.
Overall this is another great looking video and I love what's shown here. Good job!
I remember the creepypasta as a kid, it scares me a bit seeing Luigi turn into a red molten skeleton after failing to kill Mario. It’s pretty dark, and I really enjoy the story. This music when you fight Luigi in this remake is awesome, this is pretty cool.
The strange mushroom in the original creepypasta used to spam your screen with jumpscares. Now in this remake it justs:

It seems more like a demon making a deal, like giving something of you/mario away in exchange for a new path, to prevent luigi's betrayal and death.
Holy hell this was a surprisingly good rendition of I hate you, it definitely has more creepy factors than the original and rather than an alternate story of Super Mario World, but you added more background to it and express Luigi's Anger for being Mario's Second Banana, the fact that Luigi Mentioned Bowser gave him a more suitable life during his dialogue and not to mention the boss fight too that it took inspiration from the rom, this was really really great!

Look, VibingLeaf managed to make one of the greatest creepypastas even better as ever, I liked Luigi's battle music and that he has two phases, I liked that the mushroom you find doesn't scare you but takes you to an alternative path that ends ina supposedly good ending, I just hoped there would be a phase three, where even after falling into the lava Luigi reemerges even more powerful and even more furious, willing to take Mario along with him, even if it costs him the last of his strength, but still, it's a very good remake, the best of any I've ever seen.
I really love this take on I hate you, and the dialogue with Luigi is so good. I also love how Mario starts teabagging once he wins against Luigi for the first round. Also, that mushroom near the pipe, I got flashbacks when I saw that

This remake was actually amazing! The difficulty was my main complaint; Luigi's fire lacked a discernible pattern in the first phase, making it incredibly unpredictable and his invincibility frames lasted far too long. But great remake other than that!

This really hit me, it’s more depressing than just sad in the original IHY creepypasta, I remembered the game more as I watched Markiplier’s gameplay and holy moly it’s more cliche than I remembered. Even if the creepypasta is cliche like many others (DB, RM, etc.) It still as a place in my heart because of how scared I was back then, it’s a blessing that you exist @VibingLeaf, I hope you eventually remake more like dead Bart, I really hope you do❤

This, this right here, is an absolute masterpiece.
I’ve loved the ‘I Hate You’ creepypasta back when I was younger, as it seemed to be such an intriguing concept. Mario having to fight his own brother, who’s angry at him. Though, Luigi had no reason to hate Mario back in the original creepypasta, so it made no sense.
You, my good sir, have done it absolute justice. Everything feels fleshed out, from the characters to the stage to the attacks, everything felt in place. Luigi had an actual reason to hate Mario, the fame getting to Mario’s head. Not to mention how much justice you did the boss fight as well, even giving it a second phase.
The music too? More fire than the lava Luigi is burning in. Everything about this is just perfect. You did this creepypasta so much justice, i love it. Keep on delivering VibingLeaf, this absolutely goes hard.
I don't feel like it's the fame that got into Mario's head but rather Luigi being jealous of him for the recognition he gets while Luigi gets none.
This version of the story is not really anyone's fault between Mario and Luigi. Just them lacking any real communication which is the good ending revolved around Mario showing that he actually enjoy Luigi's company than whatnot

@@belkiscaso Personally, I think it's the best version of the creepypasta, featuring everything from all versions and enhancing them greatly. The third window featuring a figure watching, I didn't saw it at first until several of my watch. The boss style fight from the Rom Hack and Mario killing Luigi by accident and crying at the end.
Not to forget the outstanding musics being fully original and creepy while still sounding like it came out the SNES. The visuals and the image at end just being absolutely terrifying and depressing.
For me, this is "I HATE YOU" at its best and there probably is nothing that will top this version

The story That frightened me as a child even though it’s kinda funny nowadays! It’s done really well and I love the somber feeling it gives off, as if you can feel the tension as Mario makes his way through the horrors Luigi put him through.
Also, nice touch with the mushroom! It’s really cool that you also did something new with it that doesn’t feel cheesy or anything. Cool job!!
Wow, this is such a good remake of I Hate You. The enemies look cool, the worlds look nice, the mushroom actually does something rather than bombard you with cheesy jpeg jumpscares, and most importantly Luigi. I love his dialogue, his fight and his burned sprite at the end of the regular path. This entire video is amazing, thx so much for making it
