Hi Aanchall , I need one info , like to get hired with a good package in sde is there any necessity that candidate must be in that city ( walk-in-interview) or it is mainly online interview can be attended from anywhere?

So two things I'd like to point out about this episode:
1) She was from an engineering background so that did not necessarily mean that it would be any difficult for her to get a Software Dev job after working as a Data Analyst.
2) Speaking of "Third party" companies hiring college grads, I dont think there would be any such companies who'd pose as a client company and hire students from campus interviews by giving you misleading info about themselves. I dont know how a BTech student like her cudnt figure out such a simple thing. Her story does not sound convincing here.

1) Are you implying that you knew nothing about coding when you were actually pursuing your 4 yr BTech?
2) You would have at least received something called Offer letter that has everything in place from Letter head to who's your employer and on whose payroll you would be. Hows it that you'd make assumptions and feel cheated? Honestly, your points do not justify things here. Im in my 30s btw and have spent a good chunk of time in the corporate hence I find it hard to digest.
We live in times of internet and social media. Despite all of that, you're saying you couldn't figure out such a simple thing.

1. I am not trying to imply but I'm saying, YES I DID NOT KNOW CODING until 2020.(2019 graduate I'm)
And I don't even understand why it is even hard to understand.
They never ask coding questions in exams. Just the theory. I simply learnt it and cleared exams by solving PYQs. And almost every person in my college did the same except the people who were actually dedicated towards coding.
Again, I had a different goal so wasn't even interested.
2. No offer letter was received. Just this mail that we are shortlisted & we have to reach the location on a specific date. We simply had to show our e-mail and had to fill up the application form post reaching there!!!
Also, thanks for lmk that you are in your 30s. And i understand you might be having some doubts or anything.

1) You mean to say a BTech student has no idea what kind of skills are actually required to even gt a developer's job.
2) In email, there's still an OFFER LETTER with detailed specifics about who THE EMPLOYER IS. You're saying you couldnt even figure it out from that email?
That's specifically why I mentioned Im in my 30s (meaning when I started working straight out of college we never the kind of social media and LinkedIn thing. Still with some logic I wouldnt be fooled with such an employment offer. And if I found anything fishy, Id certainly do a background check with someone on that employer).
Perhaps the college students who make majority audience on this channel will buy your points. Unfortunately not me. BTW, I graduated in a Non tech discipline and Im pivoting to Tech by learning to code in my 30s. And I feel I have a much better understanding at least about HOW things work in the Tech industry and also Im quite aware of whats expected of me in order to get my foot in.

All this is not possible without piece of paper which is a relevent digree.
I am having good knowledge of Python, Tableau, Powet BI, Flask, Stats, ML, SQL, Mongo DB, EDA, Excel, done few projects also but always they asked for qualification background. And it comes to the end of interview. 😅
So you mean it is required to have IT background?
@@nehajain-sh9fm I am not saying this applies for everyone but yeah, in my case, I am facing lot of issues in interviews just because of having Commerce background.
Everyone has his/her own journey, go with that.I was sharing my experience.
