I could not agree more with Chip's corner this week. Those of us that are involved with fur harvesting have been battling the mis-information and ballot initiatives for over 50 years !! As for me I'll continue wearing fur and eating meat.
I just found this wonderful Farm Journal site, thank you. I would like to see this Federal vs State case drilled down on exactly what was the issue and the salient part of the judgement. Farmers in the Platte Valley Nebraska are irrigating 24/7 to keep up with the heat.
Our politicians have let large corporations suck the profits out of farming. You see fewer farm numbers every year. Most farms need off farm income to keep out of bankruptcy. Farming in America needs to be considered a dead industry.
I just kind of wish they covered more of the crops raised here in the NW. According to our neighbors who raise grass seed & straw for overseas markets the $$ for the seed is way down from last year. A few farmers we know are having to borrow against farm equity to pay for fuel & fertilizer costs as well as machinery repairs. Worrisome times for those of us in the property management arena. The mural was beautiful! Good job to the artist. Hard work on such a tall structure.
Our farmers are the backbone of this country and if this nation don't get off their butts and start helping our farmers we are going to be in very serious trouble. When you don't have food on the table, what's left, the tablecloth and napkins. Yum Yum!
All equipment has tripled in price it's to the point we farmers are not making no profit only to make half of payments the farm bill is still setting on the table
Chips corner has just supported abusive factory farm practices. While there are extreme groups that would like to eliminate killing animals for food entirely, the majority of people support raising food animals in a humane manner. Chips corner just blows into the dog whistles connecting a law to a radical group to consumer concerns over where their food comes from and the small farms who cannot compete with factory farms. You won't see hogs unable to lay down or turn around in the larger hog farms around N.E. Iowa but you'll see factory farms trying to squeeze other hog producers out. Think! Chip, just don't let issues slide into your biases.
I tried to finance the purchase of a riding mower, but unless you had perfect credit they won't let you do it. Who in this world today has perfect credit. I feel sorry for them, but I don't.
Explain to me why a government that has every arce of grain crops in the fields in the red isn't taking the money it has collected from Chinese sauctions to buy these crops? We have more imports of ag food than exports because of their terrible dollar policy as my government sauctions China one of a needed export market.

Some needs to tell John Deere, they are are responsible for their demand issue. Build equipment people can afford, not just BTO’s.

But yet we still allow the ccp to buy prime farmland on us soil

How much money did Deere Waste on their DEI nonsense? How much did all those people cost? What did they add to the quality of the equipment?
