The Erik Bana Hulk is actually very good and is a very powerful Hulk since his anger actually gave him more strength physically. The comic book panel scene transitions was nice too.
Except the villain made no sense, they combined multiple Hulk villains into one antagonist, Absorbing Man, Zzzax, and Bruce's father, that was such a bizarre decision, but hey Jennifer Connelly as Betty was👌
I was born in 2006, but I watched this and the 2003 movie religiously. I watched the old tv show and the other marvel movies out at the time, and i can say hulk in my opinion was the peak and is still top 7.
There’s actually like a 30 min cut of deleted scenes that would have made sense in the future movies with mark ruffalo because like how he said I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out that was in the Incredible Hulk deleted scenes but marvel cut it out something from and Edward Norton and the director of this film wanted to leave in

Which this is HULK is sort of a reboot of 2003 version b/c at the end it shows that Banner survives the atom bomb then a year later is in middle of South America jungle but in the intro opening of this 2008 movie was altered showing them in lab testing on himself then shows him escaping to brazil when things go wrong.

The original TV series Live action hulk came out way before you guys were born. I remember watching every week when it first came out. It was cool for its time, but it did not capture or resemble anything from the comic books. The MCU version is closer, but they still massively nerfed the character and even more so in the later appearances in the MCU. Gone is the Hulks greatest ability, which is the angrier he gets the stronger he gets. So, if you are a fan of the OG comic book character, you won't find it represented well in the MCU.
