Don't know what that costs...but, it's worth it. That piece of gear allows boaters/fisherman to enjoy, or stay in conditions that would have 99% of the boat sick. Someone is a friggin' genius. Don't know about the maintenance, repairs, or general durability, but the installation is incredibly straight forward. Talk about a game-changer.
That is very impressive. I’d love to see the unit function while going through haulover inlet ar speed. Be interesting to see the confidence it gives owners.
@@KMT15 not true. " The Seakeeper Gyro tilts fore and aft to control movement athwart ship (a.k.a. roll) because it's focused on movement at slower speeds, where pitching is not a big factor. To control fore-aft movement (a.k.a. pitching), Seakeeper offers Stability Control, which relies on what the company terms "small lift-producing surfaces" on the transom. @@toomanyaccounts In other words automatic trim tabs to control pitch while underway. The gyro _itself_ only helps counter rolling, which it _CAN_ do while either underway or on the hook. That's what I've gathered from Seakeepers own website and the stuff they've posted to Social.
@@michiganengineer8621 that is correct, but not under power. You can’t go 45mph and expect the seakeeper to keep you stabilized during that type of speed
@@KMT15 it helps with all angles of roll / pitch. The problem is the physical weight of the boat. If the bow is sticking out of the water, the sea keeper can't change gravity so it's going to dip until its in the water. If you were standing still on 2-3 foot waves though, from what I've read, it barely even moves in any direction / angle
Depends if you have battery or generator. If running on the batteries then you will probably only get 2-4 hours of runtime. If you have genny you can run it endless
@@boatsales34957 If you are using shore power wouldn't you be at the dock? Why would you run it at the dock? At sea with no generator two to four hours, how do the batteries recharge. Will the engine alternator power/charge the sea keepers batteries? Sorry for the all the questions. Your video is one of the best, most are testing with boat wakes or crew trying to rock the boat at the dock.

It only helps side to side roll, not for and aft pitching. So they would still be taking water over the bow with or without it

theese gyro can save lifes. great stuff
Worth every penny
This would be the first thing I would buy.
The boat would have been rocking crazy under this sea condition without the seakeeper.
Seakeeper off 🤮🥺😬🤯 Seakeeper on 😘🥳🕺🍸🍹🍺🥃🥂🍻
I think you are an alcoholic
Would like to see the boat from a drone ... otherwise, very impressive.
Dude that's wild🤯🤯🤯
Stunning
The tidewater 280cc.. I saw that video. I'm interested in buying 1.
Impressive
Wow
that's it! I'm getting one. how much are they? 300 or 400 bucks? just kidding. I heard they can run up to 24k bucks.
good 👍
how much current does it draw from the batteries?
I can imagine a lot. It’s a large piece of mass rotating over 9,000 RPM.
Buying one dont even have a boat!
is there a maximum run time? will it run overnight at anchor?
Yes, you can run it on shore power overnight

Fake this boat was actually run aground in the video and was waiting for a tow
So that was it off. Now see what happens when you turn it on. Lol
seakeeper 3 seems undersized. should have a 5 imo.
The 5 works on mega yachts... They use two of them on smaller Cruise Ships like those from Seaborne and Silver Seas cruises.
Just buy a cat".
May be the conditions here are not rough nor powerful enough to be really convincing.
One comment is all it takes to tell the world not to take you seriously.
You’ve definitely never been on water like this before, this shit would have you stumbling like a drunk dog.
@@thomasautengruber8369 Probably an idiot, like a democrat, you know, lack of brains...
Can’t tell
Voodoo
If you want to prove the point so bad, prove it in real water 🤔
That way there is no excuse for the viewers! 🤠
I don’t see much of a difference
It only stops side to side roll
U blind or retarded
Dude did a terrible job filming that's why. He only filmed the waves only and not the boat with the waves
Terrible job filming the guy only filmed the waves. He should of filmed the whole boat and not at the very end of the boat
Is that water/ocean 100ft deep where youre sitting?
Fake I can see the wires
Wow
