- In the 2nd episode of my character deep dive series, I want to take a look into another under appreciated character - Muten Roshi/Kamesennin.

you ever get the feeling when you watch these old dragon ball shows also other shows like it when you were a kid you get this sense of calm and feeling more relax like god damn i miss these cartoon

@@Denden971 right! As kids we loved the over-the-top action but as we get older we see just how well made it really was.

I love this piece … a lot to reflect on about Roshi as I look back at my own life… recently I encountered a similar short video tribute about how Bulma is the most hyper intelligent character in any anime arch

@@DigitalPand3mic Still always good to meet another fan. My favorite is when I meet kids here in Japan that are only 6-8 years old and already love Dragon Ball. Just warms my heart to see it live on.

Roshi got sidelined so bad in dbz. Nobody remembers when goku went to see roshi in the past, when roshi attempts to seal king piccolo or any of the jackie chun shit.
@@willlauzon3744 he did but there’s a really great moment in Z, I believe it’s during the Saiyan Saga where he states that he wishes he could help but feels so powerless. He was definitely fully retired by the time Z rolled around. As for not remembering, I think a big issue is at least overseas - in the states especially - Z was the first show to air and tends to be the main one fans talk about. Which is a shame because the OG series is great!
Great video, if you can could you use footage with subtitles it’ll give more weight to the points you make, most of your upcoming fanbase probably won’t speak Japanese. Not a huge problem for me because I’ve watched this show so many times I already know what’s being said.

on a side note i still ship goku and bulma after the time skip when none of them didn't know it was goku and chi is better off being a side charactor BUT DONT GET ME WRONG i dont like her cuz how she yells at goku and treats him its just that bulma been around through most of his life and adventures which makes better sense then chi chi poping up out of no where and say MARRY ME !! lol
@@althegamer6606 yeah I definitely always shared that feeling. Especially when Bulma sees Goku all grown up for the first time at the end of the first Dragon Ball series, she’s clearly attracted to him.

@@Desperado583 yeah, I’ve been getting that feedback so I will 100% start doing subtitles for any dragon ball clips I used onward!
You know if you’re making a video for American audiences you should use the American names, it’s the flying nimbus and the ox king, and English dubs for clips.
@@nimbus3218 I respect your feeling but I know plenty of overseas fans who either prefer the Japanese dub or are fine with either. For those who swear by the English dub, then perhaps my content isn’t for them. One thing I will rectify moving forward is the use of subtitles on the clips as well as using both names for characters where the names are different.
Dude I dont know japanese for shit. And most here dont too. Would be better to use the dubbed version cutouts
@@lukasovysilenosti I personally dislike the English dubs but I’ve already promised to people who’ve commented that I will include subs in all clips moving forward. Sorry for the lack of English subs as I generally have all the stuff in Japanese for myself. Again, I’ll be adding subs as well as using both Japanese and English names for characters that have different names abroad.
