    I have a story: In late 1972 a buddy of mine named Snaggle Tooth had an older brother that came home for the weekend from school. UC Berkeley! He had brought back some acid with him in which I bought 4 hits. This acid was called "Orange Sunshine". We were four of us around 16 years old, so we ended up going to a local drive-in called The Sunrise Drive-in which was located in Fair Oaks, CA. We dropped the acid and the world/universe turned into a freshly painted two-dimensional oil painting in the rain. Mind blowing to watch reality melt and drip down and flow away. I never dropped Orange Sunshine again and would never see the universe ever again melt. Acid in the early 70's was really good! Thanks for pulling this memory of the dusty shelf of my old brain 🙂

    I was at this show and really enjoyed it! Wasn't a big Dead guy at time. But after a few bowls and $3 Big boy cups of Schaeffer Beer. I fit right in. The Dead Head groupies were new to me. There were people in trees trying for a better view of stage. Girls very friendly and dancing hypnotic like. At one point I got a pinch on my butt.😮 Turned around some very stoned girls tripping I suppose. As for the music it was awesome! I didn't know at the time but I would become distantly related to Jerry Garcia. And have met his family and Brother. Shame I never did know Jerry though.! Cheers all✌️

      All joking aside, I do that a lot, all Grateful Dead is like Pizza. No such thing as bad pizza, if you like pizza. Just some is better than others. It may be sacrilege to some, but in my defense I think all Dead Heads are, by nature, irreverent individuals. Would Jerry agree? We are the outliers, we hear the beat of a different drum, we think outside the box, we think for ourselves. God bless the Dead.

    Thanks home-slice. Is this a mix of both nights? (I can't remember the set lists though we were there for both nights. Nor am I sure what they played the year before when we were also in attendance.) One thing I clearly recall is the price of ecstasy. MDMA was still legal on the 30th of June, and the designer drug laws went into affect on the 1st of July 1985. Designer drug laws refer to those drugs that are a molecule in difference from the original drug. In this case the original "Love Drug" was MDA. It went into legal limbo in the late sixties or early seventies, clever chemists, including A.S. changed a carbon or methyl group and came up with MDMA which was legal for almost twenty years. Deigned to get around the law, your Representatives in Congress designed laws criminalizing them. Anyway, on the 30th 125mg. tablets were running at between $2-$3, but the following day the scalpers had hijacked the price to $5, and still had problems selling it on either day, as back then most everybody dosed everybody else for shits and giggles, fun and freedom. Thanks for sharing.

      @LostMyDayJob  Před rokem +1

      Wow interesting Stefan! As always the criminalization failed to accomplish its goal and just made things more dangerous and harmful. It's a shame. Anyway yes this is a compilation from both nights, the track list in the description shows performance dates ✌

      @@helbitkelbit1790 There are traitors everywhere. We are better off with Unions than without them. If you are unaware of all the good that Unions have gained the American workforce you might want to inform yourself. Unions are a force for good. Check it out. If there's a bad Union rep its because they/he or she, sold out, not because Unions are inherently a bad thing. You have a minimum wage and a forty hour work week because of Unions, and much more that most people ignorantly take for granted. Henry Ford used these changes to placate his employees. These efforts, nation wide, including those of the Teamsters, and other major Unions, strong armed the Federal Government to step in and make these changes the law of the land. Unions are 100% American. Its about freedom of choice and justice. Without unions the worker is no more important than a slave to management. The owners did, and do, use men up and then spit them out, getting filthy rich on their sweat, blood and tears, giving them nothing in return. Unions forced a more fair sharing of the wealth. America has a long way to go. Eventually we will get to the place where a middle income family of four can be supported by the efforts of one man. Take a look at the bigger picture world wide and you will see the good Unions have done. Never trust management.
      Look at Twitter, Amazon, Starbucks and ask the employees there if Unions are a good thing. Peace young man.
