- A relationship between tables in an Access database, is a link enabling records within different tables to reference each other.
We can simplify our data recording and entry by creating separate tables and create relationships between these separate tables so that they can reference each other. This will reduce the amount of data stored, entered and minimise opportunities for data entry mistakes.

Hi Phil, great video! Thank you so much... One question though: When dragging the primary key from the "parent" table for the purpose of establishing the relationship between tables, does there already have to be an associated foreign key field in the "child" table to drop it on? Or is it possible to create a foreign key in the child table merely by dropping the primary key somewhere in the child table's box?
My question exactly
Thank you
Àaah what if you don't have same items in those tables how will you do it??
