Here's a solution that can "go around" it. This method also works for Bad sound Quality when using Bluetooth Headphones on PS5, PS4 or Nintendo Switch... or PlayStation Party Chat.
Why does Discord sound bad on Bluetooth? How Do I Fix Audio Quality on Discord?
When you're attempting to Game on your Windows PC while Chatting with your friends on Discord, and IF you're using a Bluetooth headset, you'll have to "switch" your Bluetooth headphones into Headset mode via your Windows Sound Settings menu.
Even though this will get the microphone to work, it'll drop the audio quality to 8-bit mono, and you'll definitely notice it. This is known as the "Discord Sound Quality Bad" issue, you can read all about it on Google.
This is unfortunately a technology limit for the time being.
If you look it up, all of the solutions will tell you to move away from Bluetooth and use 2.4G Wireless or Wired Headphones instead.

‼‼Truth - Basically, if you buy a headphone that uses 2.4 Ghz connection with dongle, you won't have this problem. If your headphone uses bluetooth connection, you'll have this problem. So, you can buy any 2.4 Ghz connection headphones.
What you said is mostly true. You're right that 2.4 Ghz headphones are the best for Discord, because the audio quality will never drop.
However, there are some BLUETOOTH headphones / transmitter sets that do support good audio quality while talking, namely any headphones with FastStream, like the Avantree C519M. avantree.com/type-c-bluetooth-gaming-set-for-nintendo-switch-avantree-c519m?
Nevertheless, the vast majority of Bluetooth headphones do not support FastStream, so they'll have this problem.

these are not the headphones for you to buy if you want good audio quality. basically, if you need bluetooth and NFC connection above all else, these are good. but for how expensive these headphones are the audio quality is truly disappointing.

The adapter "works" with other branded Bluetooth headsets, but the audio quality will drop when you try to do gaming + chat (it sounds fine when you're only listening to music). We managed to solve the issue with our own headphones... so for the time being, only when you use Avantree BT headphones (that has FastStream) with an Avantree will you get the no-audio-drop experience.
this problem specially is worse when you are trying to listen to music on vc via any music bot

if you're on a laptop switch your discord audio input to the laptop's built in one, that should take the load off of the bt connection so you can have better quality audio

Used c519 M, Sony's headphones sound much much better. Around same price
519m is Bluetooth, Sony's PS gold and Pulse 3D are both 2.4G, not the same.

Sound quality for listening to music - of course we wouldn't be as good. If you put xm4 into headset mode on windows you may feel differently.

@@grantcusson1722 Hi Grant, unfortunately if you use xm4 + our dongle the audio quality drop issue will remain - it's sort of a Bluetooth technology limit right now... which is why most wireless gaming sets use 2.4G.
However, as mentioned in the video, we do have it resolved in our Aria 8090T set in case you're interested in giving it a try.

Check with your headphones manufacturer if there's any way to swap between Bluetooth codecs. That might be the issue.

That's the thing, there isn't really a solution atm given current limitations with Bluetooth technology. That's why you unfortunately need to either upgrade your equipment or swap to a wired headset.
