There should be another stage after hard mode like a cutscene showing a new volcano erupt off shor and the map just gets bigger and you have to kill a lava boss to access the rest of the map
I got 4 sub classes for you: Ranger: focused on boomerangs that's ALLL about debuffs and high damage with a lack of defense / health War chief: throw litteral walls of spears and summon little tribe men to help Enchanter: Throw element imbued objects like an explosive vase or something XD also enchant your ally's weapons to give them buffs The annihilator: Throw a massive fucking sword that can cover a 3rd of the screen, has rediculas health compared to other classes and high damage but is extremely slow
The Ohio Class has access to summoning aliens, and other creatures, can make their enemies dance like goofy aughh, and honorable mention, Can team up with Quandale dingle
Actually, two years ago I thought about a subclass for Melee (or actually an entirely new weapon category) where you use gauntlets as your main weapon.
I'm personally extremely fine with the 4 classes we got, but if we're adding new ones, definitely throwing, healer, and bard since they would essentially complete the major RPG classes (screw you, monk from DnD) with melee being your paladin, main character, or warrior, ranger being yhe archer, mage being the wizard, and cleric, and summoner already serving as the necromancer, but also beast tamer class The ones u suggested sound kinda unique, but at the same time like they'd be better as subclasses imo
I would love a Druid/Druidess Subclass for Mage, that could control nature and get perma buffs in different environments (Speed in a Forest, Armor in Volcanic areas, regen in jungle) stuff like that :)
Nothing could ever replace it, it would be kinda sad to see Terraria 2 start to be developed because that signifies the end of new content in Terraria.
Don’t be sad it’s over brothers Be happy that it happened And we get to enjoyed it And we still can have more terraria games to play in the future We aint going anywhere 😁
Fun fact, the first two armors you saw are actual armors. They were pre 1.1 armor, dragonscale or dragon armor I think it was called, and the second one is a mythril set I think just recolored
Dark Mage: (would prioritise using magic weapons and curses that inflict Debuffs and Status effects to enemies and bosses, functioning as a more active support role) Light Mage: (Could utilize supportive spells and incantations to passively buff the stats of nearby teammates rather than dealing direct damage to enemies and bosses) Tank Ranger: (Could use armor sets that increase ranged capabilities and damage resistance at the cost of mobility, keeping a steady stream of damage on enemies and bosses at all times, while also doubling as a meat shield) Sentry Summoner: (A sub-class of summoner that incorporates sentry summons, setting up defensive barriers that can make quick work of invasions and events if positioned properly)
Sentry summoner already exists as a supported subclass, and the 2 mages are essentially just mage with light mage low key being mage with nebula armor (though they still need to attack to get the buffs)
@@CloutmasterPhluphyy The same way that the ranged class has specific armor pieces and accessories that effect the different ammo types for people that favor one or the other, Why not do the same for Mage? Adding armor sets and accessories that allow for a larger variety of ways you can play the mage class instead of just particle spam seems like a good idea. And let's be honest, sentry summoner doesn't really have much. (outside of the old one's army) Why not incorporate sentry summoner specific accessories and armor sets that can be obtained outside of the OOA?
I’ve been thinking about a ranger mechanic/ item. Like a support system. The most basic early game version would be silly like a fireworks that rain down. Melee should definitely have shields and parrying. So that there’s actual variety to the class.
Taming mechanic 😫 Taming a slime with food/Objects Slime: A slime when tamed at lvl 1 can only follow you and attack selected enemies, When leveled to lvl 8 it can now be ridden with the special Slime Saddle made from [Insert ingredients here], When further leveled to lvl 12 it can now summon small slimes to fight for you
If they want the game to reach a max amount of players I feel that they need to add a level system for all stats you have to grind to get them up. When your overall level increases you can have passive buffs or feats. Also for the pets the companions they should have either passive buffs/or attack or both. This would make the game insane. More npcs more secrets more quests and make the fishing quests more intricate along with way more rewards for insane rare loot.
Druid as a ranged. With the ability to shoot nature bolts of wood or grass or dirt. (Making them almost useless in places like hell). They do this with items capable of controlling one block each as a bolt. But the items can be merged to make one weapon that will just take the nearest useable block. Items will allow these to do more damage. This class will also be stronger the farther away from an NPC they are. With no NPCs in a world the druid can get much much stronger than any other classes. But like I said with the expense of NPCs. With the exception of druid NPCs wich will sell druid class items. Druids will also gain more strength for planting trees, plants or any type of seed. And will gain strength the closer they are to free life (free meaning it won't work if you just box in a bunch of rabbits). Along with this new biom will be added in which more animals spawn and the druid NPCs spawn. This will be to encourage druids to live farther away from other players in the server. NPCs for the druid will spawn when shrines are set up. Shines will be easy to make but the better the location and jewel in the shrine the better the NPCs. The shrine has to be set up in a clearing. And the druid will just lounge around in the cleaning. They will often leave but you can find them in the biom on your map. Also using some forms of shrines you can upgrade equipment and items. (Not by class but by adding nature magic to the already existing class). Or you can use the shrines to, as I said earlier, combine your druid weapons. Or even with shrines placed in hell. You can combine other equipment (only 2 to 1) and make things like axe pickaxes. But this will not add onto stats both have and instead keep the better stat of that stat. (Combining 2 zenith's will not make a 2x as strong zenith.) Shrines will be made with stone. But activated with powerful jewels which (mattering the jewel) can be found around your terraria world. Druids will also have slight ability to heal their NPCs or pets. This will also add pets to the game. Unlike summons, pets can only be found. Upon finding the pets you can tame them with a specific item and a fruit compatible with the pet. Pets will not do damage but instead give you buffs. And increasing how many pets you can have will require shrines with the pet jewel. Which can be found in the jungle. Druids will have a heightened ability to fight back corruption, crimson, or the terraria 2 version of this with shrines or an item found in the shop of a druid NPC. The closer to this biom the weaker the druid is. Sorry this was so long I started writing something short and just kept coming up with new ideas. Thanks for reading.
The Mabel pines class: you only use the last prism and bunny cannons The bowling class: you set up boulder traps all over the world and just activate them when you are attacked The chell class: you only use the portal gun but you don’t care about actual fighting. Instead your only goal is to mess with everyone as much as possible. The miner class: when attacked, your solution is to dig away until either the attacker falls too far behind you or you dig into somthing that kills you, kills your attacker or walls you off. The bomber class: you really need to get your shit together.
How about an assasin class or something. They have two weapons, daggers (throwing) and a knife (melee). Knives would have very short range but each would have it's own ability like a air slash or a damaging dash and would have a cooldown but do big damage. Daggers would have a certain ammount of ammo and would come with gloves. Gloves determine how you throw them, for example you use a ichor glove, now every dagger you throw has the ichor effect. Their armour would be average defense and have a mobility bonus like a shadow dash or a ice slide.
At this point, Terraria 2 is being built through mods, most of the classes he described are already a part of a mod/is being currently developed in a mod (retribution mod)
A good class would be a devout class. Like having to care not about mana but faith points from terraria gods. Those points would infuse character's body for making defensive moves, weapons would allow to imbued the player himself rather than attacking. Could be well balanced making it a mid defence class hard to train
I'd really like to see a buff class, I was never good at combat and my friends just wanted to fight bosses back to back to the point we're fighting them way to under geared with nothing built. I'd love a cleric/white mage class that buffs themselves and other players while keeping a fight going, maybe their wands/staffs can outright heal players with mana. tbh I'm kinda surprised the original game has nothing really close to a "support" class outside of maybe a really tanky summoner. or maybe an alchemist class would be fun, they kinda made it look like it might have been an idea at one point with all the potion/flask stuff they added but never went through with it
cough cough me playing spectre armor and my friends keep stealing my heals. jk lol but honestly a really good idea, though it's probably have to be weak healing so it doesn't ruin boss fights. Maybe it's able to buff damage as well?
Terraria 2 (official name is terraria otherworld) was sadly cancelled. A different Terraria 2 game might be announced. But its going to take some time (of course. Games take time.)
I’m going to have to say no to all three of these. All of these are just weird combos of the pre-existing classes that wouldn’t make sense as their own thing. - Warrior is just the class for using Melee Weapons for primary damage, even if they make projectiles - Ranger is just the class for using weapons that expends items to shoot projectiles (guns, arrows, and throwable items.) - Mage is just the class that uses items that expend mana to deal damage (wands, books, etc.) - Summoner is just the class that uses items to summon minions to attack for you. These suggested classes feel too gimmicky and similar to other classes to actually be implementable, plus the classes you suggested would work better use item sets anyways.
Fun fact: almost all of the armors showed in the video are armors of the old version of terraria like: 3ds, xbox 360, Playstation 3, psvita and wii U, comment if I'm forgetting other version.
The Pyromaniac class: Uses flamethrowers and fire-themed explosives like fire bombs, upgraded motolov cocktails(like cursed flame ones), of course, better flare gun and pyro-themed armor effects. And, with it, introducing a "new" weapon: fire rockets! Lava rockets, but as a weapon. (And no spicy red mexican sauce inside😢). Comes in various types (cursed, etc) Armor effects could include: Player gets a 5% decrease in attack and throwing speed in water/ocean biome. To counter this, it has a 6% increase in attack on enemies in the category flesh/flammable 7% increase in throwing speed 13% less effective with other 10% more effective with the weapon class: flamethrower, which means an increase in damage and debuff duration and an 12% chance of ammo conservation 11% more efficient with any kind of fire rockets 34% more fire rate and damage with the celebration(not mk 2) (much more appropiate for post-golem) The fireworks now cause the "on fire!" debuff As a downside, the explosion gets 2% smaller As a bad/good thing depending on your morals, simply having a liking for the biomes or your base; you can set blocks on fire with items that can produce it. In other words, arson. => Rockets are also 4% cheaper Slimes always hate you, ignoring the royal gel (But i mean, ammo is ammo) "Basically free BBQ"
I really like the idea for the shaman, maybe they could change depending on the world evil? I feel like shamans in Crimson worlds would be more focused on reducing the defense of enemies while Corruption shamans would be more focused on cursed flames … and the Hallow shamans could be a thing I guess
It would be amazing if they made new clases. It would also be cool if they made subclasses for all classes, not just weapons like terraria 1. Maybe even introduce thing like weapon enchants or brand new bosses for new biomes. Since the devs read fan suggestions, some could be possible.
I have to say, Terraria 2 definitely needs A thrower class. It was missed potential that mods made good on. It I hope it’s an official thing in Terraria 2
completely agree, the closest thing we have gotten is rogue class in calamity so if something like that was implemented into the next game it would make alot of people happy
Dragon knight is a bit too close to its normal counter part. I was thinking they could bring back the rouge class. It would have movement based abilities based on armour and weapons. Ranged weapons that have a cooldown or limited use. The movement would allow you to go in do a lot of damage then get back out. The defense would be between Melee and Ranger.
Re added the thrower class And make the daybreak, scourge of corruptor, and shadowflame knife and every boomerang become thrower damage instead of melee. Special drop from wof is explosive boomerang having tool tip "BOOMerang".
Dunno man, here i'm thinking about Mind-eater with psychological damage that greatly reduces defense and give debuffs to enemies, Assassin with very high damage output in a single swing and stealth damage, Supporter giving buffs to teams or themselfs with support damage if hitting enemies and healing teammates when hitting teammates
What about a spirit user or something? It could be close to necromancer, but a major difference, also. Maybe it could be that you deal more damage at night or day. Or something unique.
Wouldnt this fit perfectly into terraria 1? It seems like you just made concepts, while still sticking to the ideas established in 1. Not hating, it would be awesome, but this could all fit in 1.
The Scraggler Class Most of its items are sold by the Scraggler NPC, along the armor, most of them starting with "Scr" or "Scraggle" in their name, most of them deal "Scraggle Damage" which deals heavy, slow damage over time.
The Necromancer, i have a great idea, how about the skills of Necromancer was to resurrect or revive what he kills and turn it as his minion (but not on boss obviously)
I feel like what your saying is hard to make into classes because you would need to spend out the skills into different part such as pre hard mode and post hard mode like how would you Neff the skills when they can already be op and if they near too much then no one wants that class
having classes be more interconnected yet still feel unique is a big part for me. Also, giving characters actual innate abilities. I love collecting and using powerful items, but under all that your character is literally just some Joe-schmo. I want to be able to learn magical talents, techniques, abilities. Probably the closest thing in Terraria right now are the permanent character upgrades of health, mana, and the extra accessory slots in expert and master mode.
I feel like these are just renamed from the original classes. I like the original class names because they are self explanatory on what they focus around
Supposedly Terraria 2 is going to expand the lore to Terraria. So, I think that the general classes: melee, range, magic, and summoning; are going to be the same but it probably will have new subclasses, weapons, etc.
Reaper:level up weapons through killing specific amount of specific enemy's, before unlocking last upgrades, you have to fight the previous reaper, the Grim Watcher
Why not a healer? Like a class that can heal constantly, or heal others constantly. Use mana to do so, but it's like low healing so it's fair. More regen maybe, and more passive healing weapons and equipment.
Or- we can just use the same classes, but with new bosses and different weapons, with a more fleshed out progression system that can actually reward players for going with certain classes
summoner with melee
summoner with magic
summoner with, magic again?
It feels like summoner ngl

I have to say, Terraria 2 definitely needs A thrower class. It was missed potential that mods made good on. It I hope it’s an official thing in Terraria 2
completely agree, the closest thing we have gotten is rogue class in calamity so if something like that was implemented into the next game it would make alot of people happy
@@wetones985 don’t forget Thorium has its own spin on throwing as well. Also I find the bard class to be extremely fun
Clicker class: 🤦♂️
Aura class: 😐
Necromancer should be able to summon the dungeon guardian as the end game weapon
That would be a good feature if terraria 2 came out
the shaman concept is literally just dryad lore lol. might as well call it the dryad class
I think we just keep the same four classes but add the Thrower back and maybe something that specializes in Buffing teammates and healing them
Dragon knight is a bit too close to its normal counter part. I was thinking they could bring back the rouge class. It would have movement based abilities based on armour and weapons. Ranged weapons that have a cooldown or limited use. The movement would allow you to go in do a lot of damage then get back out. The defense would be between Melee and Ranger.
Re added the thrower class
And make the daybreak, scourge of corruptor, and shadowflame knife and every boomerang become thrower damage instead of melee.
Necromancer would use books that drain out life and u would summon every enemy that u killed since the last summon INCLUDING BOSSES
A youtuber records npc dialogue for anyone that was curious about it
I want a dasher rank
You use dash attacks for certain buffs at the cost of getting hit by whatever you rammed if it survived
The gambler class (highly based on rng)
What about a spirit user or something?
It could be close to necromancer, but a major difference, also.
Maybe it could be that you deal more damage at night or day. Or something unique.
Wouldnt this fit perfectly into terraria 1? It seems like you just made concepts, while still sticking to the ideas established in 1. Not hating, it would be awesome, but this could all fit in 1.
The Scraggler Class
Most of its items are sold by the Scraggler NPC, along the armor, most of them starting with "Scr" or "Scraggle" in their name, most of them deal "Scraggle Damage" which deals heavy, slow damage over time.
The Necromancer, i have a great idea, how about the skills of Necromancer was to resurrect or revive what he kills and turn it as his minion (but not on boss obviously)
Thrower class:
Throwing classss
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Press F for throwing class
You need to remember that Melee class is melee class so none of the summon shit
I feel morality would be a fun thing to meddle with in terraria 2
So, I think that the general classes: melee, range, magic, and summoning; are going to be the same but it probably will have new subclasses, weapons, etc.
thrower, medic, trapster(similar to current summoner stationary), druid
That old ocram armor I remember that 💀
Personally I’d keep the normal classes but I think healer would be cool to see or the summoner would probably just get a healing summon
Huh, you put the LITERAL Dragon Armor made with Ocram's stuff for the Dragon Class.
OH WAIT, THE MAGE WAS TOO!
Reaper:level up weapons through killing specific amount of specific enemy's, before unlocking last upgrades, you have to fight the previous reaper, the Grim Watcher
The dragon armor is from a removed boss named ocram that dragons souls of blight and the teh dragon armor is like the zenith of the armors
Why not a healer?
Like a class that can heal constantly, or heal others constantly. Use mana to do so, but it's like low healing so it's fair. More regen maybe, and more passive healing weapons and equipment.
The shaman seems relatively interesting but they’re a bit hazy, the other two are just combined classes with arbitrary species additions
I'm not gonna lie, this one feels ai generated chief
Yeah, thats youtube shorts for you now.
The dragon class needs a skyrim themed armor set
Or- we can just use the same classes, but with new bosses and different weapons, with a more fleshed out progression system that can actually reward players for going with certain classes
Healer class for the people that has friends that also play terraria
If terraria 2 brings more light to the sentries then I'll be so happy that I will befriend a unicorn
Sub classes be like
Sounds like interesting subclasses to me
Imagine that they will add the throw flass and the yoyo class
