One of my golfing buddies rocks a sleeveless tee on one of the courses we play and they don't mind. I think the dress code for golf is old fashioned but first time golfers are better safe than sorry when it comes to trying a new course for the first time.
What about tucking in your shirt, is that required?
It's really course dependant. When in doubt I go tucked in with my shirt.
Are striped or patterned Polo Shirts with collar allowed. Or does it have to be solid colors only.
In my experience most public course only require a collared shirt and are not concerned about the pattern or color of the shirt. However some private courses may have a stricter dress code which may not permit patterned shirts.
