There's a reason the upper classes don't care.. coz they don't have to deal with it on the ground. They wouldn't put them in their areas.. Ireland has had a classism issue for years..our government are upper classes and are prejudiced against Irish working class.. it's been going on for years..we need revolution

Irish heritage is alive and well, my friend. It's like saying america is losing its identity because the Irish took over New york, boston Chicago for Paddy's weekend. • @kirs1064

There are already examples of this in many towns and cities across the UK. Be interesting to see what Ireland is like for future generations over the next 10 years or so.

Rural Ireland is being wiped out by mass influx of immigrants who arrive overnight without an ounce of consultation with locals. Shelters and accommodation for migrants or every and all description being put into fields up and down the country - and then there's how the Irish people are treated - like that man in Tipperary who built a log house on his own property and with his own money and the council says he must knock it or go to jail. So, how is it the local council can put whatever they like wherever they like - but a man cannot provide himself a home on his own property - IN THE HEIGHT OF A DECADE LONG HOUSING CRISIS!! The government is fast driving democracy away and replacing it with some kind of authoritarian neo-socialism.

My Mother was born in Dublin. I have dual citizenship so I have an Irish passport, which I hold with great pride. I have always been proud of my Irish ancestry and my history goes back 100's of years, but this is the crux of my post. I always said I would come to Ireland to travel after visiting as a child with my Mum, but my Irish passport has now expired. The question is, if I renew it, where can I stay, all the hotels are full, there appears to be no where I could stay now because all the Hotels are taken up with migrants. It doesn't look like I will ever be able to come to Ireland now, so the Irish government must realise that people like me who have dual nationality and the passport is due for renewal, will not be renewing their passports. I support the patriotic Irish people is their cause.

@patti4785 Police are juat tools of the corrupt poltical elites. Take Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley for example. This guy is so cringe worthy, and is threatening ro go after citizens from USA for "inciting" violence, yet these Muslim hoardes who have rape gangs, and human trafficking in major UK cities do nothing, yet no different in Ireland, Germany, or other Western cities let the turd-world thugs destroy Western culture. And the political scum wonder why people are pissed. Ir maybe that is what exactly they want.
My lineage is traced back to Scotland and England, as well as Germany, and it breaks my heart to see whole communities decimated by purposely erasing unique cultures before our eyes. I feel for Ireland, and the peoples on both sides of the Irish Sea need to unite and not allow the elites, which clearly are collaborating in secret to destroying our culture.

In the UK and ireland the rich could not care less because it just means with more lawful (and unlawfulj) immigration they have more servants, delivery drivers etc and low wages for staff. For normal people the impact of large numbers of young men with different values is huge and no one seems to care less about the impact on ordinary people who are not racist at all, just wanting our lives left as they were in our Christian lands.

Visited the South West of Ireland in the mid 90's. Zero immigrant issue. The towns were bright and thriving. As a young English lad out on the beer I got some heat but mostly fine. From an Englishman looking from outside I'll be clear. What you have/had is about to vanish. You will have no say. Very similar to the North of England. I am at the arse end of it being completely normal living within a few streets of aunts/uncles/parents/grandparents and people you went to school with. The culture that produces, is going away very quickly.

The obvious biggest problem is the infrastructure in Ireland. Not has changed since I left Ireland in the 70’s. My village is just 60miles from Dublin and to this day we only have one bus a day to Dublin leaving at 9am returning at 17:30pm. There is a railway track not far away but the government refuses to invest in a new rail line into Dublin. The toll roads are jammed from 7:00am-9:30am every day.. There are lots of empty houses but without the infrastructure people are leaving..

Callum, being Irish myself and living in Manchester 22 years, I have extended family in Co. Meath and I use SailRail via Holyhead - Dublin, visiting family there for a week at a time, my last visit home to Ireland being in October 2022 - since 2018, inward migrants with EU travel documents have been pouring into the ferries at Holyhead with virtually no checks and you are only stopped if you are native Irish/English, as I hold an Irish passport which I’ve always held and renewed the entire time, yet in recent years, the Irish government has made it increasingly difficult for me to renew my Irish passport, even before Brexit - hardly any of these migrants ever get on the ferries out of Dublin, summer or winter, daytime or overnight sailings - the ferries out of Holyhead are always packed full of migrants and on overnight sailings there are always 2 full coaches from London at Holyhead waiting to board the ferry, even after they withdrew the coach from Leeds - one thing that I have noticed is that aside from the massively increased numbers of migrants travelling is that there are never any hearses with coffins on the ferries now, of Irish people dying in the U.K. and wanting to be buried in Ireland, before Covid you would always see one or two every crossing, now you don’t see any - the situation is probably the same on the Pembroke/Fishguard route into Rosslare - the filthy looks that you get from Gardai when presenting your Irish passport at passport control at Dublin Port is something that really irritates me, because as an Irish patriot, it is highly offensive and inappropriate behaviour, that I never get at Holyhead from the North Wales Police

I'll admit im in this bracket and feel most in a similar postion and i include myself in this , dont want the hassle of taking time of work and making the effort to protest. The Government are quite happy to ve able to say the peope that are protesting dont work or are already on benifits in a bid to play down the unrest thats reallly out there. Politicians' shirking their duty to allocate resources to systematically acquire land for development (Kenny Report, shelved 1973) and to develop consolidated regional urban centres (Bucannan Report 1969) is the problem. The result is uneven provision of accommodation and infrastructure throughout the country, hence the pressures of modern demographic changes on the country.
