- In July 2023, we had the pleasure of catching up with Joel Ekelöf and Martin Lopez from the progressive metal outfit SOEN before their anticipated show in Helsinki as part of the CoolHead Live shows. Our insightful conversation provided us with a sneak peek into their latest creation, "Memorial." After immersing ourselves in the album, we reconnected with Joel in August 2023 for a deeper dive into the intricacies of their new release. That would explain to me why on concerts that I saw, they don't have short intro where they hint at the theme of the song. They want to leave it to the audience.
I respect that.
