This is a very helpful video. Get's you up and running quickly. Thank you
Thanks for the walkthrough David. Any thought on importing DMXIS shows into EMU? I have some pretty involved shows and was hoping to port them over for improvements.
FINALLYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
Hey David! Love all your videos, particularly regarding EMU as I'm still trying to get to grips with it (I'm not a pro at all!) Could you expand on using a footswitch (preferably without Midi, if thats possible) to just toggle forward the banks/songs. TIA
Great video! I'm just wondering if there's an easy way to programme fade outs of the different programmes? (in the same way that you mentioned you could set a fade-in on a single programme, I want to be able to create a fade to black over a specified amount of time) - is it as simple as creating a programme where all faders are down and then setting the fade-in time of that programme?
i wanna see the stage lights they programmed for the funeral 😂😂
How do you connect the visualizar ???????????
ye how?
Did you have to do anything to get the audio working?
It's not getting any signal from my laptop mic or mixer out of the box
Hi David thanks again for sharing. I am looking into a new lighting system. I currently use Eclipse from Blizzard lighting and Wolfmix but am looking for something a little more advanced. I would like to be able to make changes on the fly when needed and also possibly program some shows to particular pre recorded songs. Any suggestions?
I'd probably take a closer look at LightKey - it's mac only, but is really easy to learn and very capable
@Learn Stage Lighting Thanks for the reply. I should of stated that Im a pc guy. Lol.

Hi David, thanks a million for your great video's!!! I have a question, at the moment I still use DMXIS. I use the patch function a lot, when I get to a gig I patch my DMXIS channels to the DMX numbers of the theatre where we perform. So, for instance, my frontlight is programmed in channel 1 and I patch that to different dimmer adresses. I can't find a similar functionality in Emu. Nor can I find it in Lightkey. I hope you can help me, I run my light cue's via midi from Ableton.
In either program, you can move lights around in the patch and it carries the programming to the new DMX addresses. It works much smoother than the DMXis patching.
David which visualiser did you use in your video. I can’t afford Capture and was thinking of L8. Any other which are less expensive and work with emu. Thanks, Steve
Did you find one?
@@guy539 did YOU find one, I am searching as well
Can you programme your own show along with tracks or does it only work off of sound activation? Like if I wanted to programme strobe lighting for a particular section of a song, can you do that?
You can program along with tracks :)
Does it run on windows 7? Thank you.
So can Emu time code? I I'm stuck between onyx or enttec. I have the funds now but having a bit of trouble with my research
No timecode in emu. Reach out to us at gear@learnstagelighting.com with any other questions and so we can get you a quote!
@LearnStageLighting thank you! I will definitely reach out. I'm a 1 man team and I perform on "stage" i was using soundswitch but I need a little be more control and a console to help speed up programing, leaning towards onyx. Thank you! I will check out the site now :D
What visualizer are you using ?
That's Capture :D
@@LearnStageLighting is it free?
" a vst plugin in an audio digital audio workstation" :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
It’s very unstable, crashes on boot up, not good software.
All. The. Time. "Do you want to save your progr...." aaaaand stuck.
Are you still able to work with it? Like does a restart fix it?
@@charliedont i have been using it in two theatre shows, and it has been tensive, but mostly it works.
Kinda sucks you buy a product and have to pay even more for a completely basic form of software. :(
